Thanks. Just received my WEN drill press table and hurriedly put it together. I searched for a video to see how bad I screwed the thing up assembling it, and to my surprise your video assured me I had done it correctly. Your instructions were exactly the way I prefer to learn. Thanks, again.

Very helpful video. Just bought one, and the illustrations made it look like the bolts were coming through where the “X” grooves are in the metal drill press table. Should’ve figured it would clamp on the outer ring of the steel table…. Thanks again.

Oh. I need instructions. So, thank you very kindly for producing and sharing this. And well done on your first video and choice of project. I found you looking for just such a tutorial. I need one of these. I need to be able to drill several holes in a straight line. I agree about buying this instead of making one. I’m a creator and as such, I know how your time is valuable. Imagine if you built a nice quality copy of this table and put it up for sale, do you think after the materials and your time you could turn a profit? I say $46.00 is a fair price!

Bravo on you first video. Nicely done! You spared me a lot of despair for $7.09. I too just bought a WEN Drill Press Table on Amazon. But I bought the white model DPA 2412T for $43.13. It is similar but much cheaper than your orange & black model DPA 2513 for $50.22. AND BOTH ARE STILL AVAILABLE ON AMAZON AS OF 7-17-22. The 3 big differences I see from you video are 1) DOUBLE TRACK mount system on the bottom. White uses 2 not 4 mount spots, and metal track sliding system vs 1 set on T-nuts and threaded stud mounts at 2 different widths, and 2) no t-bolts for workpiece hold down, and 3) routed trough in fence for stop block rather than metal track. I think that is all worth much more than $7.09. So thank you! I am returning white and exchanging for orange and black, noting the highly improved mounting and work lock-down options. Of course, I was shocked orange and black is still available - totally expected them to new and improve to make more cost-effective and profitable for them. Thanks for your video.

Thanks! You looked very good through out. If you never said this was your first, I would not have known. I have seen others that had many under their belt that were not as professional! Keep them coming. Good job. I ordered one so you must have been effective.

New sub here. Great 1st video on unboxing and set up of this table. I am thinking of purchasing this even though a few reviews say tightening the holds draw the t slots out of the MDF. Looking forward to seeing the table in action from you.

Thanks!!!! I can see some people over tightening the hold downs and having trouble... I used it in my votive holder video, S1:E2

Almost totally off topic. Shrimp and Grits. I attended a GM ham radio get together at Bowling Green Kentucky in 1994. I went for breakfast and told the server I'd never had grits. She said try them and if you don't like them no charge. I said I already don't like them. Response was Noooo you have to be honest. I was and I liked them.....and the wonderful folks in Bowling Green Kentucky.

Am I crazy or wouldn't you want the measuring tape not pre-attached to the table? I would think you'd want set your table up, then place the tape on the table such that the zero on the tape is where the drill bit center is. Then instead of having 0 - 12 tapes, it would preferable to have a 0 - 6 tape going towards the back and front from zero at the center.
@3twelveworkshop3122 жыл бұрын
Yes, the more I’ve used it the more I really don’t see a need for the measuring tape at all…. I mean, once you do the layout on a piece and set the fence and stop block to drill into the center point of the hole you need you can use that set up to batch out what you need… Honestly I don’t make any cuts, drill holes, biased on the tape measure of the machine I’m using. I always use the set up lines on the piece I’m working on….

I'm considering one as well, although to get it to Canada I'm looking at $100. Nice video
@3twelveworkshop3122 жыл бұрын
Thanks, $100 to Canada?? Through amazon?? I don't know if it's worth that much, but for my needs the $44 price made sense. I know down the line I will end up using the hardware in a rebuild, but am sure that is a year or so away.

How does the table work in relation to the crank on the drill press to lower and raise the table? Does it hit the table making that function harder?
