In my freshman year in highschool, during my P.E./health science class, a police officer came in to show our class the dangers of distracted driving. I thought it was going to be one of those speeches you hear on commercials and all throughout elementary and middle school, but it wasn’t at all. The police officer said he was going to play a video and warned “if you are queazy and not good with blood, you might want to leave the room.” He played the video, which was just a collection of photos of accident aftermaths. The images started not too bad, like scrapes and just pictures of the cars, but it eventually got to pictures of people’s faces peeled off by asphalt, impaled by trees, missing limbs or their entire lower body, and with their bodies and skulls opened. I definitely don’t think it was legal to show some 14-15 year olds that kind of footage, but boy did it stop people from wanting to text and drive (or even driving to begin with).

fun fact: human centipede 2 was not shot in black and white for art purposes. it was actually shot in color, but was so gore filled, violent, and gross, that it would have been X-rated and would have caused them to lose a lot of money. so just by converting to b&w, they were able to save the R rating
@Crochetems Жыл бұрын
A little fun fact: NC-17 (called X rated until 1990) movies aren’t widely released in theaters almost exclusively because of the movie ‘Showgirls’. It lost so much money, that now theaters just avoid showing NC-17 movies. Edits are made to make a film R rated so theaters will feel like they can actually get the crowds in to see them. ‘This Film is Not Yet Rated’ is a great documentary about how movies get their ratings and the effect that has on culture. It touches on ‘Showgirls’ and the X rated/NC-17 rating. Edit: extra fun fact - ironically, because of what the documentary has to show, the documentary itself is rated NC-17.

Hi! This is Ron DeCaro’s son, I appeared in the Gateway Meat which you mentioned at 46:50. I was actually 3 during the filming of the movie, not 5 or 6. I don’t have the clearest memories because of how young I was but I do remember a fair portion of filming it! I’m 17 now and still haven’t seen the movie, I probably never will. If you want to hear more from me then let me know because I would love to share my experiences about it and working with my father.

It's like the James Burger case in England. The victim was a little baby (think he was 2), and the murderers were 11. They initially received a decent punishment, but it was overruled and they were given a very easy, light sentence in a youth detention centre. England is such a fucking nanny state. When you mentioned my home country (Colombia) I was shocked. Unfortunately the type of violence and desensitization of death is still very common even nowadays. The city I was born, in for example, has many shootings or fights going on casually on most public places. I remember my grandma mentioning the time a guy was murdered in broad day light in a major super market of the city and the next day people were going back there to buy their groceries. There is also the major type of violence, with car bombs being put close to police or government departments on the weekly. It’s very unsave and stressing, although I’m hopeful things will change for the better. I encourage everyone reading this comment to educate themselves in this type of violence a country can be put through, but most importantly to look into our culture and art for its filled with inexplicable beauty and perseverance that not even the tragic situation of now can over shadow.

@mercury_stuck_in_1984 They don't get necessarily more depraved further down the iceberg, but definitely more obscure/illegal. Also, the stuff further down is largely real footage, captured footage if you will, as opposed to being filmed on a set with a director. Sheen saw what he thought could be real, but wasn't, and the lower tiers are real and effectively won't get into the hands of a person like Sheen unless he goes out seeking it, and thus would know ahead of time what it is. Honestly, I think the Vomit Gore Trilogy deserves to be much lower due to the real depravity. Sure, some of the scenes are fairly campy with the use of literal dolls, but a lot of it is functionally abuse, as consent is reliant on the sanity of the party consenting, and no sane person would consent to these things. Sure, ethically gray area, but to film it, give it the loosest of plots in existence, and distribute? It's absolutely depraved.

The documentarys on junko really drive home the evil depravity these yakuzaBoys committed against her first an foremost, her family, culture, and Society in general. I have heard that south american & mexican cartel human tortureSnuff videos allegedly posted online are or should be in the deepest depths of an Iceberg on this inhumane stuff. Where would WENDIGOON rank those real life videos, or why didn’t he mention that category of evil torture/murder at all ?? There are very macabre types who have claimed to see these recent (from the last 10 yrs especially etc), videos that show rival gangs torturing opposing members, or members who betray the gang loyalty etc. I am guessing it would have to be another level on its own or its very own Iceberg?
