My father and I had a 130 mi paper route back in the early '70s. We would start delivering over 500 papers at close to 2:00 Sunday morning listening to the radio we both couldn't wait to hear one of a Wendy bagwell's stories.

Ol' Ralph Bennett shouldn't have been so stubborn! That car dealer could a showed Ol' Ralph where everything was, as Ralph would've been the better for it. He'd of at least known then, where Reverse was, and where the Heater was. He got schooled by his own wife on that one! This reminds me, though, that if we'd just learn to drop our own selfish, foolish pride, and ask God for his help in our lives, then he'd definitely help us out. All too often, though, we're like Ralph. We think that we just know it all! That's when God just steps aside, and lets us learn our lessons the hard way! This is a great story to draw that comparison from. I love it!

One of the funniest, most charming, well-timed, multi-talented people who ever graced a stage. The real deal. We lost a Lot when we lost him. RIP, Wendy.

Wendy and The Sunlighters played our church home coming when I was a kid. We had lunch and they sat at our table. He was funnier off stage than he was on. The world became a colder place when he left it. I bet he's telling one of these stories in heaven right now.

Unfortunately, from what I hear, it was a Brain Aneurysm that killed him. He'll always be remembered as one of the funniest people ever, though... especially telling this story, and that Ol' Rattlesnake story!

Dear Lord! I can finally put a face to the name. Many years ago I use to listen to a radio station called WDCX BUFFALO. The host of the Saturday Evening Gospel programme was Doug Riley. Each song he played he always gave the artist name, since then I have managed to put a lot of faces to the names through The Gather Gospel Hour. Now I can add WENDY'S. It has taken me nearly 26 years but now when I play my old cassette tapes of all those years ago I can have the pleasure of a face to the songs I have treasured all these years. Glad to meet you Wendy! r

Classic story! My grandpa had one of those VWs and I was amazed at how different they were. Wendy could tell a story as well as anyone. Only Mark Lowry is in that class today.

It doesn’t matter what I think, but it does matter what God knows. He is all knowing & each human is going to answer to Him! That includes Joni, her new husband & “Pete” , also those professionals who twisted Bible truths to suit their situation.. God’s truth will always prevail. 🙏

What does “That little old heater will run you out of there, won’t it?” mean?
@ronaldshank75896 жыл бұрын
It means she pushed that little ol' red button, the heat came on, and apparently that heat worked. Too good!!!
