Everyone should get an advance directive. You designate who will handle you affairs should you become incapacitated. Also a living will and trust. Make the tust the beneficiary of all life insurance and assets. You can designate who receives money from the trust and how. Also and assets in a trust are not taxed. We gotta pass the word. My Nana was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease when I was 10. I helped my mom take care of her every day until I was 15. When I turned 17 I got my CNA license and have worked in psych wards and worked with the Geriatric ward which is those with Dementia and Wendy definitely doesn’t sound like she needs to be there. If she has alcohol induced dementia which is very possible, it's a very gradual onset, and in the beginning, people seem very coherent but they become easily confused and frustrated. As a cna sounds like a skilled nursing facility where they mainly house residents who are in rehabilitation, dementia, mental issues , physical and mental disabilities and people who’s families just put them there not to deal with them .
