"The act of taking my own life is not something I am doing without a lot of thought. I don't believe that people should take their own lives without deep and thoughtful reflection over a considerable period of time. I do believe strongly, however, that the right to do so is one of the most fundamental rights that anyone in a free society should have. For me much of the world makes no sense, but my feelings about what I am doing ring loud and clear to an inner ear and a place where there is no self, only calm. Love always, Wendy," Wendy O. Williams

I have terminal cancer and I have given much thought to ending the struggle before it becomes too much for not only me but my family too. Dignified ending.

That doesn't mean she wasn't troubled and lost. It would have been better if she could have lived. Tom Snyder should be credited with exposing that the Growling Leather Queen, was a sweet caring and intelligent lady. More of a lady than we see in entertainment today. The world, my world, was a better place with her alive. She would be a sweet 75 year old granny today. Please don't glorify her pain and suffering. She should have been shown more love.

@@freemandiaz5123I have an excruciating spinal injury and have to fight for pain relief. I have often considered "self deliverance". But my love of life, the world, my wife, children, and now a grandson keep me on the side of living. At least for now.

I must have thirty or so of those Kmart 60 and 90 minute cassettes in several shoe boxes in my closet. I love that you used it for the default image of the video.

Yes, so classic. Thank you for the nice feedback. This is my favorite of all interviews recorded.

I still have Kmart cassettes too. They were cheap and apparently last forever.
