I agree. The $5 byocb at taco bell is my favorite. They also have a $7 "luxe" craving box right now that comes with a chalupa Supreme, 5 layer, double stacker taco, chips and cheese w/ a drink.

our Wendy's here in Minnesota also have the $4 deal along with the $5 Biggie Bags. You can also upgrade the fries from a Jr to a medium or Large size for .50 and $1 extra.

I tried out the $5 double cheeseburger deal at McDonald's yesterday. Everything was fresh. So I was happy with that one. I plan on spending $6 at Wendy's for the double stack deal, in a day or two. Interested to see how fresh everything will be. They might win, if the food is hot and fresh, as I generally prefer Wendy's. I believe there is an up charge, if you go with a Frosty substitution. BTW I enjoy your videos.

I did eventually get to Wendy's. I ordered the double stack biggie bag and upsized it for 50 cents. So it came to $6.50. Everything was fresh and hot. Even received two containers of dipping sauce. It was a good meal for the money.

Not quite a kosher thing if we're just comparing the $5 meals to each other, but Wendy's also has Frosty Tags available around the holidays. Those are good for a free junior Frosty for the year and cost like $2 to get. So if you have one of those, that could be what pushes the Biggie Bag ahead of McDonald's for some people. Without the free frosty though, McDonald's does seem to be slightly the better option.

Yes, my family & I always have a frosty key tag for years now… it used to be $2 now they put it up to $3. It’s a donation to Dave’s foundation that helps foster kids, if I remember correctly. But through the year you can use it multiple times and get a jr frosty for free

Is also give Mcds the title barely, but at least on the Wendy's app you can upgrade the fry size and drink size. I usually go large fry and medium drink and its less than a dollar extra. Just checked on the app and the jr. bac cheesegurger meal with large fry and medium soda comes to $5.85 plus tax.

Wendy’s has always had these deals. Mcd and BK is for a limited time. Someone mentioned checkers 5 buck meal. It’s not bad and they have a fry guarantee and Wendy’s sometimes has one too. Taco Bell is starting to raise some of the 5 dollar boxes to 6 and sometimes 7 but those are good deals plus the value cravings is good and if you go from 2-5 happy hour you can get a medium drink or freeze for a buck. Jack in the box comes and goes with a value meal. Always has tacos with a sandwich and fry’s plus a drink. Also the app is your best friend here in the StL area when one of the sports teams play you can get a medium Big Mac meal for 8 bucks.

Wendy's gives you several variations to choose from to get the $4/$5/$6 Biggie Deal. I think there might be a $7 Biggie Deal also, but I am not sure. You can also upgrade to a larger quantity nugget or larger sized drink for a little extra cost.

Taco Bell has joined in with their own value meal. It is the $7 Luxe Cravings Box. That was my lunch today. There were no mini, junior etc. anything. Full size beverage. Granted, it is nearly 50% more than the $5 offerings. But, I believe it is the most bang for your buck, of the current fast food specials. It definitely fills you up.

I don't know why everyone thinks Wendy's is better! The texture of the nuggets is like a sponge, and all of their cheaper sandwiches are all bread. The only things I'll get from there is the salads, or the Asiago chicken sandwich. McDonald's isn't great either, but I think it beats Wendy's in this instance.

I've been getting Wendy's Biggie Bags for years & will be sticking with them. Wendy's has always been a step above the other chains. The issue with McDonald's is its always hit or miss on how your food will be outstanding or not good at also often order incorrect. Im not a big fan of Chicken Nuggets but Wendy's are the best & enjoyable. I always order my burgers a specific way when it comes to condiments & I always get a double in the Biggie Bags. So my burgers are much better than the one you showed. I don't think Burger is nearly as good like years ago. There is one location here I feel confident with. With any chain alot depends on the Management.

Hold on, here's my rant...I used to love Macdonald's but they have wronged me too many times. Dry burgers, not enough ketchup, mustard or mayo, cold fries. With the prices as they are now, I can't afford to give them money and be disappointed. The only things I will buy are the mocha iced coffee and the caramel frappe. Wendy's, on the other hand, has always been consistent with just enough condiments for the burgers and the fries have been hot, enough sometimes, to burn your leg as you drive away. Burger King Whopper with cheese and bacon is a favorite, but not until the economy improves. Until then, Wendy's is the place for me.😃

None of these value meals are a value to me. I don't drink soda so what is my choice? I'd be paying for a cup of ice. I will not be going back to any fast food place and I'll be healthier for it. I gotta say, I only went to McDonald's for nostalgia because it brought me to a happy childhood place. Corporate greed has ruined it for me. imo all the fountain drinks taste off to me, ive had fountain drinks plenty of times that tasted weird and like cleaners. i think its wendys 1, mcdonalds 2, bk 3. i think wendys nuggets are far above mcdonalds, mcdonalds nugs really are plain tasting on their own, bk nuggets always taste burned. fries ill say mcdonalds sometimes has the better fries when theyre salted right but overall i have more consistant fries with wendys, bk fries are meh. burger wise solely on taste ill give it to BK they have the best burger imo but its small and lacking, wendys burger is meh unlesss you get their daves burgers or baconators, the mcdouble as far this meal is concerned is probably the best value because its a double cheeseburger but doesnt taste as good as the BK one.
