I made Christmas ornaments wire wrapping for practice and I found if I made a hook with the end of the wire it stayed put until I came around with the rest of the wire. Just a little tip, it might work for you I found it made my life easier. Another tip I got was lay the end of the wire even with the shorter piece of leather and you basically wrap the wire in your wrap! I used bangle bracelets and beads to wire wrap ornaments and those tips helped tons. 😉

What I have learned is artistic wire is far more difficult to wrap with than german style wire or copper... it makes my stuff look good even tho I'm not good at it. It makes wire wrapping fun!! Pretty piece!
@thisbeadedlife2 жыл бұрын
Really? I did not know that! Ill have to give it a try!
@ReginaCoeliJMJ2 жыл бұрын
@@thisbeadedlife I use the wrapit brand for copper and the beadalon for German style wire.. I hope they work for you. I have avoided wire wrapping because of the difficulty but these 2 types have really helped me.

Well what is so weird is that this video that you are commenting on isnt public lol. You shouldnt be able to see it at all! I had uploaded this one and another one that I wasnt sure I wanted to make public because I felt like they were really scattered and not very good videos. So I dont know how you are even able to see it lol. but since you can, what do you think? Should I make it public?

Watching replay. Have you tried dipping the pliers in tool magic? Will keep from slipping and not mar the finish. You could use a spare set of chain pliers. I haven’t yet but plan to do it. I’ve been listening to other comments and like what I 🦻.

Some of my components bead Caps or whatever they were spacers did the same thing and my rose gold turned black. If anyone knows why or if there's something I can do to stop it I'd appreciate some help thanks
@thisbeadedlife2 жыл бұрын
You can buy an anti tarnish coating. I store all my metals in ziplock bags with anti tarnish strips too. Humidity causes metals to tarnish. I think the only way to really prevent it is the coatings that you either spray on or paint on.
