HI Wendy when you said you cannot make journals, I knew exactly what you meant. 5 years ago I found this art and never looked back except to acknowledge that for 50 plus years I flitted from hobby to hobby, never spending more than a few weeks at it before getting bored. 100s, I mean many hundreds, of journals later I still get inspired by a video or a thrift store buy and can spend a whole day working in a journal. Sold many, and gave away to family who run the other direction when I come to visit with a bag full ( most members love them, but have empty ones to still fill!). Plus I have many tucked away. Selling on line is difficult, the postage in Canada to anywhere is so high it can equal the price of the journal. So a few craft sales get rid of a few to new homes, but the basement shelves are bulging. However when someone suggests that I have enough, well how do you explain to them that the next one is calling to be born and loved. But you understand as do most people who make journals! Enjoy your summer at the cottage and happy crafting.

Brenda this is such a wonderful explanation of why we make journals. I think they are a celebration of art, thought and practical magic…if that makes any sense. Lol Big hugs 🤗

This session was wonderful Wendy! I am enjoying watching you create as you go and seeing your process. Please keep all the little 'Wendy tips' coming! Your sharing is appreciated and very helpful. I was so pleased to hear you say that making these journals is something you cannot not do. It is the only way I have been able to explain my passion for this to family and friends. I am inspired and putting together a project bin to take to our cottage this summer. It will be our first summer in the Okanagan in our own place, but of course I must have some journal making time here and there 💕💕 Thank you!

I love how you covered your CD envelope. That was genius. The entire piece was lovely. The barking didn't bother me a bit. I understand that she is young, and that she is just looking after her humans by warning that she hears noises that shouldn't be heard in her house and they might want to pay attention. It was perfectly sensible to me.

Hello Wendy! I was beginning to look at origami some months ago on KZbin and it got me to take looks into people that are making junk journal. I decided to give it a try. It is my joy now and when I go into the room I settled to do it it is CALM. And I am a Canadian too from Quebec. Thanks for showing what you are doing. It is a great inspiration...

Forgot to comment on your last video, but I just wanted to thank you for doing this series of videos using the journal kits you just sold. Even though I didn't have the funds to get one of them, I still find these videos useful for whenever I get to make a journal from your awesome tutorial on the cover you are using. Anyway thanks for sharing your time and inspirations. I'm feeling a bit out of sorts with an intense stomach pain, but watching your videos takes my mind off it for awhile. On days like today, I wish I had a cottage/cabin in the woods to go to and just be with nature and God. Hope you are doing well. Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas

I'm amazed how perfect your circle turned out mine are always weird looking 😂 Hope Midge is doing well! My mum asked what height and weight is she as her dog seems much taller than most and she was wondering if it is more of the Canadian breed as they are taller than the English version apparently! I will send you some pictures of the sheltie play day they had with the dog show dogs! Like a fairytale. 😊❤️
