Vellum Journal Tabs - 5 Ways

Thanks for joining me. Today I am showing 5 ways to embellish vellum "Wendy" tabs. My hubby named these Wendy tabs, he thought they really summed up my journal aesthetic LOL.

Tabs galore. Love all of them. My sister sent me a whale tail hack video today. You punch a circle. Fold the circle in half as you did in yesterdays video and then insert each side (where it is folded) of the circle back into the punch just a little. When you are done you have a whale tail. The only thing is getting each side even. I put a mark on my punch so I can make each side of the circle the same.

Oh Wendy these are beautiful. So timely I just received a microwave flower press yesterday and dried small wild flowers and columbines. As always you think of lovely things to make our journals awesome, Thank you. I will always remember these as "Wendy tabs".

Never in a million years, would I have ever thought of drying tomato flowers! One, I wouldn't want to lose the tomatoes, but that's such a fab idea for small flowers when you need them. These are all great ideas Wendy, and love all of your 15 tabs now!

Such wonderful ideas for vellum tabs, also love the dried flowers from tomatoes. You got me thinking about using scraps of lace for the outside of the tab on the front and back. TFS

EXCELLENT tutorial Wendy ... I L❤VE all of your Wendy Tabs❣ OMGosh! I went to Amazon to search for your Wild Flower book, and the least expensive one was either $174 or $147 (I can't remember). These tabs are just so lovely and in my mind will always be Wendy Tabs, thank your husband for that suggestion I love it . It is nice and warm here in Alberta too, so I will also be out in the garden today.. It always seems like there is so much to do at the start of the season, but so worth it. Speaking of tabs, I hold you solely responsible for this, and that is: my obsession with the whale tail round tabs -- and I used to like you so much -- and of course, your good-looking man main squeeze Leo -- I never even knew they existed until YOU -- and of course, you can't find one anywhere -- lucky for YOU, I found some good sellers on etsy, at a very reasonable cost, which is actually why I'm commenting -- you know I'm joking above, but seriously, Wendy, if you have leftover scrapbook paper, you could just "punch a'bunch" of tabs and put them on your etsy shop -- I'd certainly be a customer, because now I'm obsessed -- they are so cute !!! Suggestion: I have those Washoe stickers and I find it easy to peel when I use my warm breath on them like when you steam up your glasses ' lens, sticker releases slightly and is easy to peel then!

I can answer the question ‘why would you want to do that with lace’ I’m finishing off an album and there is lots of lace, some of which is small in black as well as white. Going to try it out for tabs on the photo mats but I already think it will be fantastic. Thank you for the inspiration.
