What a beutifull video. Thank you. ❤ So many memories spanning 59 years of my love for Wengen and the Lauterbrbrun Valley.....My first visit was in July 1966 as a very young and naive school boy. We stayed for nine days at the Hotel Brun .The memories of our daily trips out from Interlaken to the surrounding villages has stayed with me until this very day. I returned to Wengen in the summer of 1998 sraying at the Hotel Regina . From this base I revisited all of the places I had been so lucky to see all of those years ago...Wonderful..Thank you again.

A beautiful village to walk around in during a snow fall at night. The lights show up the falling snow so nicely. Loved flying high over the village seeing the valley below and mountain towering behind. Oh yes ... showing the same scene during the nightly snow and the morning winter wonderland was neat!!! Hope to see more of than in the future. Thank you Sylvia!!

Kann nicht warten bis zum Anfang 🥰. Einmahl war ich beim Trainig der Lauberhornrennen. So schön! Tolle erinnerungen am Skigebiet und die Ferien in Wilderswil und Grindelwald. Hoffentlich kann ich in ein paar Jahren wieder Schifahren und nicht nur zuschauen. ❤️

I can tell you that road clearing in Wengen can start very early in the morning, I got woken at about 05:30 one morning by the snow blower clearing the small square below the Baren Hotel, Wengen with fresh snow and sun is magical.

The problem was more all the footsteps from the workers going up to prepare the Lauberhorn race - they were already working at 3 am!!

For those who do not know Wenger, the small town is automobile/car free, except for local transportation, and therefore can only be reached by train. Makes for a very special place. The slopes are fantastic and it is possible to ski from one valley to the other. Wengen is almost a time capsule and hasn't changed much in the past four decades. Let's hope they keep it that way. Summer time in Wengen is special as well. People are always friendly and welcoming!

You mentioned the expense of hotels; people can book rooms below Wengen, in Interlochen, with a substantial savings. May need a train pass, or might be included with multi day ski ticket/forfeit (FR) ~ my only visit ♥️😢♥️ was for the downhill, in 2009 (?)...

No, he stayed at home with Dad. village stuff is nothing for him. We do a great snow shoe hike instead today:)
