Yes. You need to have a host kubernetes cluster with kubesphere to manage other kubernetes clusters with kubesphere.

Hi Thang, thanks for watching. Yes we can manage multiple clusters using Kubesphere. I don't have resources on my laptop to create multiple clusters to show how it works. But the idea is you will have kubeshere on all your clusters and designate one as master and other as member clusters. And from master cluster kubesphere UI you will be able to manage other clusters. Hope it makes sense.

I need to edit conf/common.yaml but I cannot find this conf directory or this file in the install files. I've downloaded multiple versions, but no luck. I need to edit this file to add NFS capabilities. I am currently only able to install successfully using hostpath. Thanks for any help!

Both kubesphere and rancher are production ready. You have to try them yourself to see which one is better for you.
