As someone who has been creating art for over 30 years, I have always been a bit harsh on artists who employ the sort of chaotic, splatter, splast, spill and spin methods we are seeing so much of these days. Sometimes my angst is completely unwarranted, but other times I feel I'm looking at the equivalent of an infant's first adventure in poo-painting on the bathroom wall. This gentleman however, is without question an absolute wealth of talent and creativity. The foresight of knowing where he wants the colors to go long before manipulating them by hand is a testament to his skill and artistic ability. I love seeing this kind of work being brought to life with a direct and deliberate influence of the artist's actions bringing it into being. Truly amazing.

Ephesians 6:10-18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.😊😊

I see what you did there, and I like it. This painting has the same appeal as, say, a Tretchikoff - there's a verisimilitude, but it's not going to age well.

@@christopherbedford9897 I’m curious as to why you think this painting won’t age well. I can see the argument that cityscapes change very quickly, but that doesn’t lessen it’s beauty. I’ll admit to not knowing a ton about art history though- if there’s a reason you think this, I’d love to hear it!

@@e7193yes but we take it for granted. What would life be like if we didn’t just naturally do this passively? It’s crazy to think about. Art is strange because it appears to be utterly useless beyond giving us nice feelings until we are bored of it. Most people consume and throw away Art like it is just a product. But could you imagine a life where we as humans couldn’t understand or create Art? It would be a strange life that’s all I know.

He is good at forming a perspective, then he layers his colors and starts to form shapes. Adds his details. You would be surprised what you people can do if you work at it. Line, texture, perspective, shapes, color, shading, dimensions, using the tools. Im sure I have forgotten other foundational concepts and worked on these building blocks in whatever medium that is accessible. You can be great. Work on subject matter that's relevant to you and then branch out. Perspective is a must! Don't be afraid to copy (no tracing). Copying is a great form of practice, and you will feel how other artists approach art and learn from their perspective.
