Bringing Ben's dad in is brilliant. I, for one, promise not to bring up the hardships he faced in bringing up Ben, or the piercing stare which Doug skewered him with. Such matters can be really difficult memories, and are surely something which could trigger PTSD.

. . . I am facepalming so hard at the guy writing about dinosaurs being too big to walk. I had to google him to check his age and background---the theory he was putting forward *was disproved within his professional lifetime*. I don't know how to react... Is there a mental equivalent to "lost for words?"

Oh dear, are scientists trying to wind the dino clock back to the 1970's? As a young girl then, the prevailing theory was that the sauropods lived in water because they were too big to live on land. A few years later, it was learned that if they'd tried to live in water, they would have suffocated because the water pressure on their chests would have prevented them from breathing.. Perhaps the writers of this paper missed class the day this was brought up!

All of the Dinosaur books I had when I was young in the 1960s/1970s taught that large sauropods lived most of their lives in water because of their weight. I guess the author of this new book never got past that era.
