I have no problem with Nessie. That’s part of local Scottish lore. He sought another site and he told it to get lost. Just putting my own were there. I really like the effort you put into this, but a few of the comments you made at the beginning made me want to stop watching. I studied geology and paleontology in college, but I am also a 6-day Creationist and believe man and dinosaurs did coexist. But the idea that no complete skeleton has ever been found, is fake, and the comments about how we could never know anything about behaviour based on bones is also ridiculous. Near the end you also said something about a possible T-rex in the Congo, and while I admit the possibility of a Tyrannosaur being there, the specific species of T-rex couldn't possibly be there wild. That would be like saying you found a North American buffalo in the Congo, they live in completely different habitats, let alone continents.
@michaelevans16904 ай бұрын
Why is it ridiculous that he said we can't know behavior from bones. Maybe it's semantics, but isn't it fair to say we can only speculate, hypothesize, and make inferences to our best guesses... But can we ever truly know, with real certainty what something looked like, let alone how it behaved, from the partial remains of its corpse? It seems the more improbable claim, which warrants a well thought out defense, is your claim that we can "know" anything about the past with such certainty.

I realize that “ We Haven't found a full, or even half a dinosaur skeleton” was a bold statement. And since your comment I have done a little more digging on this. Perhaps I was operating with old info. But even now some sources say that we Have not found a full skeleton, some say we found the first one in 2022 or so. But I think the essence of the statement remains true. Most of we find IS NOT a full or half skeleton. As far as not really being able to know the mating habits, diet etc. from bones, I stand by that statement. I have always been skeptical of the amount of information scientists claim to get from very little evidence. And I did not say kasia was T rex. I said the description sounds like a t rex. I am aware that t rex was not in that region. But nobody knows or cares about Carcharodontosaurid. Which is more likely what is. Even those who named the creature called it Rex, why? So people would have a reference point. That's all I was doing.

I'm more of a young earth creationist because I genuinely cannot find any way to not contradict dogmatic statements, as well as several anathemas *particularly the one in Vatican I* that condemn even changing the interpretation of a doctrine. All Church Fathers held to a literal young earth creation, even St. Augustine who's disagreement with the "days" came with an wrong translation and his conclusion was "It was instant" rather than 6 literal thousand years. Ultimately on a philosophical and theological frame work it's virtually impossible to hold to evolution and old earth without falling into some condemned heresy.

The Pope can't make up truth, nor can he deny an article of faith that has been infallibly declared. The council of Florence infallibly declared "outside of the church there is no salvation" The Pope can not change this. If he indeed said what you said, then he's a heretic. Heretics can not be Pope.

You started out as a Protestant (an Evangelical if I recall correctly) and it shows. For some reason American Christians seem eternally obsessed with the age of the Earth, how and when it was created, taking symbolic stuff in the Bible literally, etc etc. Frankly, it is all a distraction. And this mindset seems to put a huge emphasis on evidence and proving things. Like Thomas needing to see and touch Christ's wounds. How odd, when in the end being a Christian comes down to faith. Exactly how the world was created is an interesting question, but is not all that important. Compared to say, trying to live the faith every day. All that said, this was an enjoyable video and well done. Thanks!

Yes, but the fact that the world was created, and all life was created as opposed to having evolved, is a huge question. If it was not, it would not be so important for Marxists to try to force belief in evolution, by any means possible, on people.

As one formerly Atheist, knowing the world's true origins is very important to faith. To know between evolution to man from pre-ordained species to man created as man since the beginning is to either know God as a god who enjoyed watching things die for billions of years or God as the God who sent His one and only Son Jesus to save all of man from death. This brings us to atheism, because if Adam and Eve were born from common ancestors then it would seem God deemed death as good from the beginning. On the other hand, the Catholic Church affirms death to be bad. At this point a man may jump to atheism by admitting God as a tyrant who can't decide whether He enjoys watching His creations live or die. According to an Atheist with evolution at hand, even if God were real he would be right to reasonably assume God to be a terrible God if he used a process involving rape, murder, and incest, to further His creationary agenda. As for us, we know this to be false because God from the beginning has ordained man for eternal life. Also, in the genealogy of Jesus Christ, we begin at Adam the son of God and no other ancestor. Plus, according to Genesis, God told our progenitors to eat of every fruit of the tree, not the animals, so even here God's has a preference for how he gets His creation to love over slaughter. An agreement in evolution isn't damning right away, but it can easily become so as it becomes a terrible Epicurean paradox. If God is good, why did He use evolution to create man? If evolution is good, then is it according to God's plans for the strong to weed out weak genetics? If death isn't good, then why didn't God create a world without death since the beginning? Did Adam and Eve have to obey their animal parents? In sum, man had to have been the sons of God since the beginning. The God who orders for us in Isaiah that the lamb shall sleep with the lion must be the same God who made everything perfect in the beginning, who only ordered man to eat fruit from the trees of the garden. Nevermind that Adam could name every animal without fear of getting eaten, and Eve was so comfortable with snakes that she would talk to one without running away. Did God evolve these animals too until making them vegetarian, so vegetarian that Eve wouldn't fear poison or grappling from a potential predator? No, so much as the devil was the murderer since the beginning, all men and all animals started to murder as a result of the fall. God made a good creation, the devil made it worse, and now thanks to Jesus it will be better than it was before in Eden.

This topic has fascinated me since my childhood! I however take the belief that God does not operate on our time scale and the seven 24 day creation is more like the process of millions of years. Do I think the last of the Dinosaurs went extinct exactly 65 million years ago? I believe that could be inaccurate as well. I don’t think that Dinosaurs could’ve coexisted with man. Otherwise we’d have much newer skeletal records and far more complete skeletal remains, more so like prehistoric mammals. Also how do you figure for the ability of giant insects being able to grow to their size? The atmospheric conditions were just different (pre-dinosaur eras) allowing them to grow that size. I think it just makes more sense to comprehend that the dinosaurs lived and died during certain “days” of God’s creation of earth and man came later… I’m always hoping for a long term discussion on this topic between actual reputable paleontologists and prominent Catholic figures and/or clergy. Thanks for the video! Great content! God bless.

Methicillan-resistant staphylococchus aureus When antibiotics were first developed, they were considered wondering drugs that can easily treat infection. In a relatively short space of time, strains of antibiotic resistant bacteria developed, requiring much higher doses of the old drugs to kill off or worse requiring completely new drugs. That's a form of evolution which can be observed within a lifetime.
@bolapromatoqueejogodecampe87184 ай бұрын
@@carissstewart3211 Even assuming that a mutation (it has not been observed, it is assumed) caused the change in the gene that codes for the penicillin binding protein (I know it is methicillin but this is the name of the protein in question - pbp for non resistant, pbp2a for resistant), making it resistant to methicillin, it would be a point mutation, changing a protein slightly while it still performs the same function.

@@carissstewart3211 In order for mutation to be the driving engine of evolution, in the sense of universal common descent, it needs to be able to create new, different, function. This is not the case here. The protein in question still has the same function - build and maintain cell wall.

@bolapromatoqueejogodecampe8718 Christians shouldn't strawman evolution any more than atheists should strawman belief in God. Evolution is marked by slow and subtle changes. There is a reason why comparative anatomy is used as evidence of evolution. Structurally, a dolphin' s flipper, a human arm, and a bat's wing are similar. They evolved different functions over the course of millions of years. It seems that opponents of evolution demand evidence of the total absurd scenario of an animal giving birth to a different species. Another example of evolution: House sparrows were introduced to North America in the 19th century. Since then, northern populations of house sparrows are larger and darker - to traits which are beneficial in colder climates - than southern populations. No birds as yet turned into fish, but then, no evolutionary biologist would predict such a change. Reject evolution if you want, but don't strawman it. It makes Christians look foolish.

I think the best stance here is not to be decided on the subject. There are some issues with young earth that are not yet well answered. It gets complicated to defend it in a debate with an evolutionist, especially if it is an atheist. Better stick to hard facts such as the total inability of mutation to produce feedback systems, feedback loops, or even a molecular machine. Also, the causal circularity which is rife in even the simplest cell. And information, code etc... Plus the complete lack of transitional fossils between 2 different body plans.
