I just stumbled upon your Podcast after seeing Forest for years on TV and Joe Rogan and honestly this might be the only Podcast that does not matter where you start watching from either the episode or where in the episode it doesn't matter what is going on in the current world you just zone out thinking about animals lmao so f'ing dope I love it.

The largest Pterosaur was the Quetzalcoatlus and it was a Giraffe sized flying lizard. Interestingly it was thought to have lived almost exclusively around cliff edges (when on the ground) as experts don’t think it was able to generate enough lift to takeoff from the ground and likely would have had to fall off a cliff edge in order to initiate flight. They also believe that it was capable of travelling from one side of the world to the other in one flight.
@douggaudiosi14 Жыл бұрын
That's amazing I heard about them using a cliff to become air born but the distance of their flight capabilities is absolutely insane
@TheGayling2 Жыл бұрын
@@douggaudiosi14 yeah they are thought to have been capable of flying for 7-10 days and 8000-12000 miles in one flight. For context the distance between the UK and Australia is about 9,500 miles.

Can’t believe no one mentioned the aliens from edge of tomorrow with Tom Cruze, hands down coolest aliens ever
@Valkyrie_716 ай бұрын
Oh this vid is a year old anyway but here's my top 3 cinema aliens... 1. Def Aliens facehugger over the Xenomorph. Anything with a white, dead-flesh like, "spidery" body that chokes you is a big nope. 2. Alien monsters mutations from 2007 The Mist.. while there are over 9 different species throughout the film, that huge spiky tentacle arm that kills the guy in the back storage area of the grocery store is pretty freaky. Its the black spikes and fear of (the unknown) what the rest of the creature could look like.. and how big it could be. I lived in a city that often had fog in the fall, and it was fascinating to watch it, imagining a tentacle waiting to creep out and grab you. 3. Any alien that is massively huge is absolutely terrifying.. the Cloverfield monster, Mindflayer from Stranger Things. But my favorite (not really scary, just super big ) is the elephant/spider-like aliens from the 2010 movie Monsters, and its sequel Monsters: Dark Continent, where a combat photographer is tasked with bringing his boss's daughter back to the US, after an alien invasion in Mexico, wthout gettn squashed by them lol.

Another theory. Dragons were depictions of winged dinosaur fossils dug up by mistake or found by the tribes of different cultures. Ik this theory may be flawed due to many reasons, but let's be honest, it could be highly likely.

the whole dragon theory makes a lot of sense as is. One thing I thought that made a lot of sense to me is what if instead of dragons breathing fire they spit poison/venom that caused a burning sensation on your flesh? Through story telling it eventually got equated to them just breathing fire.
@Nitidus Жыл бұрын
No, it doesn't make much sense. All depictions being from the same time frame is wrong. The depictions are interpreted in the same way people make space ships out of figurines that show ancient Gods or birds. The whole debate is so full of fallacies. The premise is, "I want dragons to have existed, now I selectively make up theories and cherry pick evidence to justify it." Just like what you are doing. See my take: "What if different dragons are made up in a similar way because a big predator from the sky would be like the scariest thing imaginable for people who cannot get into the air themselves - which makes it really obvious to have such an idea?" Well, clearly possible. So that's a valid theory now and probably even correct just because it's not impossible? All those theories about spitting lizards with wings are 100% useless because you have *no evidence **_at all._*
