There’s a lot of errors in this video. 1. Bolsheviks were not referring to “the intelligentsia” when they advocated for a professional revolutionary element acting as the vanguard of the revolution. They were referring to a militant, class-conscious element of the proletariat who would devote their entire lives, full-time, to the work of revolution. 2. This wasn’t “exclusivist”, nor was it “evoking a darker image of revolutionary power”. The understanding that revolution would require violence was not some sinister, fringe extremism, that framing completely ignores the historical context in which the Bolsheviks were operating. The Russian Empire, and later Republic, was already at war, as was the rest of the world, with World War I raging throughout Europe. As well, the embers of social unrest and upheaval had regularly been flaring up throughout the early years of the 20th century, with multiple revolutions occurring throughout Europe, and specifically multiple times in Russia itself. So the idea of a militant revolution was not “sinister” or extreme as you suggest, or as someone viewing history through the lens of modern sensibilities may believe. Rather, it was widely understood and accepted as both necessary and acceptable. Problem is much of the allegations of Jews being in the Soviet government come from the Bolshevik revolution when Jews were 5% of the Russian Empire. The break up of Poland, plus baltic reduced the Jewish population but a 1% over representation figure does not signal that Jews controlled the government. No ethnic group anywhere in the world is ever perfectly represented so to complain about a 1-2% over representation figure is ridiculous when other groups like Latvians and Russians were also over represented, because Central Asians and Caucasians were under represented.

No my exact point on overrepresentation was not that jews were "in control". I wanted to say that idea that Stalin was an antisemite, in light of the fact that antisemitism in mind of average joe would be "like Hitler" is wrong and that even if he(Stalin) was "antisemite" than only in same way as Marx, who jew himself, was "antisemite", in a way that he had distaste toward parts of jewish national culture and jewish customes. Hmm I would disagree in regarding that there were two types of antisemitism during the early 20th century. I read it in one of my sources that I could recall but in a nutshell: 1.) casual antisemitism which is probably what Stalin had which still meant he had a reluctance to Jewish people. 2.) Radical antisemitism based on conspiracies of Jewish world domination. Both are still bad but yes one is worse than the other.

Yes they were over represented but with numbers way way lower than 80%. In addition it depends on which organs you look at with it never really exceeding 30%. At times it seems you are trying to find excuse for the Jews to be part of that genocidal movement by them being oppressed and at times you say they were not involved that much and their identity was not an issue. You take issue with Jews being that much presented in leading roles 13:37 but you end up counting 5 of 7 really and countering that saying that two opposed massacres or rather voiced their concerns. At 9:33 or so you refute whole bunch of intelligence reports by saying it was just Siberian peasant's hearsay which clearly is not the case - there are plenty of accounts more reliable (how much?) in just the parts you showed. For more refutation I would need to comb through the video again but I don't have the resources or knowledge to do that in any scientific capacity. Based on what I know, even if we take the lowest estimate, Jews were over-represented in Soviet leadership (and elsewhere in the world). I can understand why Jews would like to distance themselves from that but it seems lot of them were cheering up Soviets because there was lots of their compatriots. There are a lot of inaccuricies in this video. Jews in Communist Russia were not treated very well by the Communist State. In fact when the Jewish State of Israel was established they emigrated to it in droves. Even today Russia is probably the only White country that is not controled by Jews, like the banking system, the media and other forms of control, including immigration.

As i found prime source of this, is newspaper of Russian immigrants in Paris called "Russian thought"(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russkaya_mysl ) for 11 November 1988 p.8. The problem is that i cant found it in e version, but it definitely existed because this newspaper(exact issue, from this exact date) referenced in some literary criticism of Brodsky( I mean part of issue was about Brodsky, they reprinted one of his speaches). Initialy i get this from another jew en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkady_Vaksberg who referenced this newspaper in his book "From hell to heaven and back . The Jewish Question by Lenin, Stalin and Solzhenitsyn". (Also i did this investigation in russian language, so sources, like "From hell to heaven and back" can be not availeble in english, but this is it in russian www.belousenko.com/books/publicism/vaksberg_from_hell.htm, Ctrl+f канегиссер and it would find the place with this quote ) Sorry if my eng was bad.
