14:00 I remember being assigned this story in Latin class and I'll never forget that "pee in a circle around" is actually just one word: circummingo

This was lovely, thank you. There's one channel named Schwerpunkt who covered in detail the practice of wolf-warrior brotherhoods from ancient Rome to the Norse sagas and beyond. There's objectively a huge deal to dig in through the traditional reading of mythology/religion

I am not a total abolitionist, as I believe that - for whatever reason - there are some people that are so dangerous that they need to be separated from the general public - which is unfortunate, and there is definitely an argument to be made about how the prison industrial complex has created or nurtured those harmful behaviours. However - I also believe that the majority of incarcerated people do not need to be in prison. There are other ways to rehabilitate people and to prevent re-offending. Focus on creating the conditions that allow people to survive: feed, house, educate and medicate people as they need. No questions asked. Watch the crime rate plummet. There will always be dangerous and predatory people, and we can debate the ethics of how they are punished and/or rehabilitated on the basis of the harm caused, not on who we believe is disposable.

Is that a copy of Ian Gordon Brown's Auld Greekie I see in the background there? AHA! PHD at Edinburgh Uni or Herriot-Watt, then. Deduced by - 'The Columbo of Portobello Docks'. You probably don't receive many comments from 55yr old Scottish anarchist punks, however I'd just like to say, your channel's progressing nicely here and, as it develops, the subject matter becomes more and more intriguing. Very well done. That sounded a bit patronising there, it wasn't meant to be. Keep up the good works and noble deeds, eh. 🙂
