You know the start to this video is what i kinda hope you can experience with the NPCs, like i love the idea of society not yet gone but you hear all hell breaking loose outside as car crashes occur, people getting eaten and gun shots and police sirens and the like. Thats my wish for when they add them back lol

I also wish that. Although the loneliness feeling that the current game offers its something unique. I hope that the devs can manage to sustain that and also add a little bit of life when the NPC update comes.

Npc mods can help with that (if your computer can handle them at max settings) I was able to drive down the street for not even 5 minutes and saw over 50+ survivors running around avoiding zombies, being eaten, breaking into buildings to loot, etc. It really felt like it was the beginning of the apocalypse and you were watching society fall apart instead of going outside and everyone has already turned. If you're computer can handle it I so recommend playing with NPCs at max settings, you'll get that same feel you described.

It would be fun but hard for the devs I think, I'm not sure how they will handle that, because before the 16th Louisville and other towns outside the main zone are uninfected, so if you somehow manage to get there before then (which is usually impossible) it would just be a normal city. It would be cool to see but so few people would experience it so they probably wouldn't bother to make it that way.

One trait mod that would make the game a bit hard but I'd rather play it on early game just to test myself is a mod that allows you to play with a "hypoglycemic" trait that makes it where if you don't eat or drink stuff that's sugary for a while, your character despite being fully awake can get tired all of a sudden

Best part is that there's a new type of zombie that is quite common, the hazmat zombie which carries filter supplies but his unfortunately ran out

I’m all for it being in vanilla. In fact, they should also add a partial immunity trait while they’re at it. Most people die from traumatic injury or fire anyway. Having the ability to MAYBE survive being bitten wouldn’t be nearly as OP as it sounds. Especially if you make it very tough on them, like requiring a stockpile of food and meds on hand...because you definitely won’t be in any shape to go looting yourself. Plus the cost of the trait could be set high. Just turning off infection in the sandbox doesn’t quite feel the same, since it’s 100% immunity. Also, the setting is global so it wouldn’t really work on MP. Side Note: Been finding tons of small, but GOOD PZ creators. Most of their subs have ballooned recently. Lets see if it happens again.

Yes, i agree with you, this should be a feature in vanilla. The lore of the game already confirms that an airborne strain of the Knox Infection exists. I believe that it adds more depth to the game and could be an awesome history narrative once the NPC update is added. And about being able to survive a bite, i thinks its debatable, because i think that one of the feutures that makes Project Zomboid a true Zombie Survival Game its the constant fear of not getting bitten when fighting the undead. haha yes, it's recommended to get a gas mask as soon as possible, or maybe get a medical/dust mask. The crafted bandana face mask will not help against 4 or more zombies.
