This sounds like a fitting soundtrack for that unseen heroes, for people that their fight is always taken for granted, for those who sacrifice themselves for people who never even heard their name just because of 'every lives matter'. I don't know which character that pops up into your head, but I can almost see their exhausted body that beaten up but always pull through each time, their selfless soul, their tired smile after a battle that nobody knows, so pure that it lights up the room. "The time has come..." The warrior could hear Death's silent whisper against the back of his ear, Death's cold touch creeping upon his shoulder. The sky was filled with heavy rainfall as it wept at the scene. A warrior in his final moments, impaled by his enemy's spear while he struggled to his feet using his scarab as a brace. His body was wounded and battered, but not yet broken, his fighting spirit not yet yielding. "Not... Yet... I'm not... Finished yet..." The warrior gritted his teeth as he fought against the reaper's calling, coughing up blood as he glared at his enemies. His eyes flared with hatred and rage as he stared down the legion before him. He knew that he would not survive this fight, his body and soul were already pushed beyond their limits. He just needed to bide time; a few more moments, a few more seconds. Any amount of time he could buy with the last ounce of his life he would gladly purchase it for his retreating companions. "I have known you a long time, Warrior..." Death whispered once more into his ear as Death's grasp tightened on his shoulder. "I have stood beside you with each battle, and tonight I shall claim you for myself... But I've known you for so long and I know you will not go so easily..." The warrior clasped his fingers tightly around the hilt of his sword, stumbling to his feet and slowly moving forward. His sword pointed at the enemies that stood before him. Death's cold touch pushing him towards them. "I stand beside you one last time, my Warrior! Go and make them fear your name! Let your last breath be a battle cry that will make them cower in your wake!" With a bloodcurdling cry, the warrior lunged towards the onslaught of enemies, cutting them down as he was impaled many times over by their weapons. The warrior's spirit was unyielding until the time he would take his final breath. His movements were that of a demon as he cleaved his blade through his enemy. His movement unhindered by the mud and muck beneath his feet, as if the earth itself aided him in battle. For the few moments that felt like hours, the warrior continued his assault, until he stood at the center of a pile of corpses. He stood motionless in the center of his carnage. The bodies of those he slaughtered scattered around him while those left alive were hesitant to move forward. His body impaled by a great number of spears and arrows as he struggled to remain on his feet. Until finally, he collapsed to his knees. His vision blurred as he gasped for breath, feeling his consciousness slowly slipping away. He could feel Death's cold touch as it began to embrace him, Death's cold voice whispering softly at the back of his ear once more. "You did good, my Warrior... but it is time for you to come with me... Come and rest... You have earned it..."

Just because you ran from your past doesn't mean that you can get away. You had a lot of troubles and I know you are tired and you probably want to give up already but atleast let me tell you this. You are what you are and noone can change that but yourself , you know yourself better than anyone so don't let them change who you are for the sake of recognition instead let them recognize the real you while letting them realize who you are. Some things in this world are better off just the way they are , but you are different. You can face your past while still moving on and try hard because that past can fuel you on moving forward. You may try to run away from it at first but that past will never change and it's already a part of your life. So keep on going , someday you'll reach the end of your journey and hopefully you're journey will be carved through the hearts of those who cherished you the most because you did a great job on continuing. This reminds me of one of my D&D characters. He sacrificed himself to take out the bbeg to protect the world, he baked cookies to put smiles on everyone's face, loved interacting with kids an a wholesome scale no one could've matched. It was sad to see him go the way he did but he did what he set out to do, stop others from being hurt.

It's dark and cold and wet. My head is throbbing. I try to raise my head, but I feel sick. I must have gotten hit harder than I thought. I blink, trying to refocus on my surroundings. A battle field. I remember a battle. A great foe. My brother... My brother! My world is still hazy, but I can see my brother now. My heart freezes. I pray my eyes betray me. I blink again. I only see them clearer - glistening blades protruding from my brother's back. I try to scream, I try to reach out to him, but I cannot move. My fingers twitch slightly, but fear smothers me into submission. Understand, my mind begs. Take in this scene and understand what is happening. The blades... they come from our foe. Our foe now lays crushed beneath my brother's knee, my brother's own blade penetrating that monster's heart. But it wasn't fast enough. It was an even exchange. And from the placement and depth of his wound, I can tell that my brother will soon follow our foe and leave this world. Leave me... I can hardly see anymore. Tears blur my vision. I hate this moment. I don't want to forget this moment. My brother, my hero, out of my reach. I force myself to focus. And then I see her. My fear mixes with awe and wonder. I have to be imagining her. My brother's departed wife. Her spirit, embracing him from behind. Welcoming him back to her. Suddenly, unexplained peace washes over me. I am still and no longer frozen. My brother is leaving me, but he is going home. He will be alright. I will be alright, because of him. Our people will be alright, because of him. But our world will be less bright without him. And so, I prop myself up as best I can and cry out my farewell to him. I doubt he can hear me clearly, but the smallest smile graces his lips, showing me that he can understand me. I struggle forward. When I finally make it to his side, he is in his wife's embrace.

In a book I'm working on there is resurrection, but it is always a choice. Some people want to come back because they have more life left to live, but others just... don't. They are done, or reunited with those they have lost in the afterlife. The main character chooses to come back, but loses her parents and significant other a second time because they can no longer be revived. On another note, bless everyone here who is reading this.
