WES (World Educational Services) is designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to provide Educational Credential Assessments (ECAs). An ECA is used to evaluate degrees and diplomas earned outside of Canada.

What I don’t like about WES is that the applicant has to reach out to the institution that they are requesting the documents from in order to have the evaluation done. Why are we paying WES if we have to do this step?

How does WES verify the validity of your transcript from your school? Do they ask for a school's copy of your transcript?

I don't think WES delivers within the days you wrote above, I saw 35 business days. And today, I applied and refused to tick the box for a hard copy but it seems they are forcing it on me as it refuses to go to the next stage. Until I accept a hard copy delivery which will cost me more...instead of 220 dollars, it is 305 dollars because of the international shipping which I'm trying to avoid as a PDF is enough for me. Any help people?

What process you guys are following is not electronic....its the normal courier or postal process...she is talking about digitally sending your transcripts to wes ....digitally its lot more quicker thn the normal one....My friend did it electronically and it was very fast

I think it's taking longer than expected. My documents arrived at WES on February 12/2024. My status changed to "we are processing a new file or document for your application" and there are no other changes so far. Apparently it's taking longer than expected compared to what people are saying.

How much was the fee in cad? It could be an exchange rate issue from your bank or also you might have selected the courier option for your wife’s account.

Your school still needs to send your transcript but can now be done electronically to WES. What you can upload yourself is your certificate

Update…etc etx is crap…if you went to private university they may be able to get it but if it’s Uniben or other federal university etx would be giving you story…
