..... that sure was quite the eventful , what was it three days and two transits, well three with the train .... looks like you made the most of it and had fun .... think it was the next video where you had a ton of excitement fishing .. wowzers .... sorta was wondering if you could have used a net and just dipped it beside the boat .. anyhow quite amazing to say the least .... thx for sharing a peek into your adventures ..... never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .... have fun be safe, save our oceans .......
@WEsail4 жыл бұрын
Hey there Peter, thanks for watching and thanks for your comment. The transit from the first passage to ours was 4 days total, but we did spend time in the city before getting back to our boat right away. The train was super cool and a great way to get from one coast to the next! We so totally could have used a net or even a gaff, but sometimes we just get so excited and Warren thinks he can catch fish with his bare hands.
@peterfrebold4 жыл бұрын
@@WEsail ...... chuckling ..... does Warren think he is a fish whisperer ..... I hear tickling their bellies is key .....
@WEsail4 жыл бұрын
@@peterfrebold might have to give that a try, but I usually catch and then warren releases...mostly on accident! hahaha
@peterfrebold4 жыл бұрын
@@WEsail ..... you had pretty good success with the gaf when your Dad was there .... remember when I was a wee tyke going fishing with my Dad off of Vancouver Island and a fish would not get lifted out by the line, that was a big No No, they were always lifted out with either the gaf or the net ... that has always stuck in my mind .... Laughing .... catch and release, it is always the ones you don't want that the hook does not come out ....

Nice video and commentary. Surprising you guys dont get more views, your putting out videos on par with channels with many times the viewers. Great image quality but a good mic with dead cat on all cameras would help maybe
@WEsail4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Kevin! That's really a super nice comment. WE have been working hard on making our videos better and better and trying to grow our channel. Still new so maybe that's why but feels great that you think we are par with the others out there! WE certainly are always trying to improve and the sound quality is one we have nailed just yet! WE have a dead cat but sometimes we end up using the phone or the gopro

Very Cool in one day. I saw the camera and it looked like a 60D but what was that lens? It looked very large in size.
@WEsail4 жыл бұрын
THanks! Its a 5D camera, the lens is a 14-35 I think... Its pretty hefty, and so is the added battery pack. Makes for hard blogging sometimes. Looking to get a smaller vlogging camera, my left arm it a bit bulgier than the right!

Subscribed......Question? OK.....the blue lines you guys were tied up to in the canal...are they yours or did they provide them? Also, wish you (everyone with sailing/traveling channels) would post how much everything cost? I understand the prices change, but at least it would be a great base to judge to make own plans in the future ;) I would love to know how much it was so hire an adviser, how much for the passage with your 41' cat...how much for the hired deckhand....how much gallon of diesel....did you tip anyone for their help and expertise? Sorry, I know it's alot of questions. To you might be an everyday life, to some or most of us following you is a dream and wishful thinking....it would be nice just to know maybe how much longer we have to save to maybe run into to one day? ;) Love your travels and the way you film/shoot.....Keep em coming!!!!
@WEsail3 жыл бұрын
Wow thanks for a great message, questions are always welcome so here we go- yes they were provided along with the buoys, it was part of a package we paid for with the agent we hired (sorry I hear ya about prices- we always wondered when we were beginning this dream while watching other sailing channels LOL, and I was sure we included prices and details in the video?? If not than I’m SURE we put additional information in the description!) I remember paying right at $2500 for everything (Minus fuel, food, marina stays, etc) and I am sure that it was right at $500 for the so the canal passage was $2000... we had to hire one line handler so that’s $100, diesel is usually $4-5/gal, and ya we tipped our “pilot”, not required by any means but he was awesome... really hope that helps, anything else feel free to email us directly WEsail.world@gmail.com
