In this video, I discuss a list of ten goals that players that are stuck in the mid game can use to try to get themselves into the end game. Your number 8 is 100% on point. I actually create and manage Bingo events regularly and I cannot tell you how important TRYING out content can change a person’s mindset. I think bossing opens up a world of knowledge for mid game players. It forces them to use tools like the wiki, joining a discord, or even joining clans to make friends. There are so many people in the community that love to help and are willing to teach. I think as an endgame player, this list nails it. Great video.

Train construction and start upgrading your POH. It becomes so useful for almost everything from mid-game forward.

I agree with this and wanted to include it on my tweaked version of the list, but the problem was I couldn't think of a point where a POH became really useful on its own without needing 80+ construction. That certainly isn't reasonable to include in the mid-game, and using w330 negates the real need for it until you can afford it as a convenience, which would be an end-game thing. It doesn't hurt to train construction up in the mid-game, but the useful unlocks can be pretty expensive and I'm not sure mid-game money isn't better spent on things like gear or other skills instead.

A Quest Cape is more a late game, in my opinion. I am no where near getting my own and I am "past" mid game, in my opinion.

I’m stuck in the mid game. Base 55 (thanks to herblore) but the achievement diaries are helping me power through…. The push to 65 runecraft is killing me though 😅

If this list is in a particular order then having untradables as the last thing is way too high, especially since you've already ranked other untradables previously. It also really depends what you are considering in this category, as you'll already have a lot just from hard diaries and the quest cape. Having 1500 total level first and then base 50s 2 spots later is strange as base 50s only gets you to 1150 total. I also think the fire cape and skill cape are backwards for most people. Lastly, I think there is a pretty awkward jump from 10m gp to quest cape and up. I'd also swap quest cape and bossing. 1. Barrows Gloves 2. 1500 Total 3. Skill Cape 4. Fire Cape 5. 10m Cash (Not bank value) 6. Base 70 Combat Skills (Prayer included) 7. Bossing 8. Quest Cape 9. Hard Diaries 10. Max Combat (This might be a bit much) I'll leave it at this and see if I can't fill in the blanks. I considered putting something POH related, but mid to high 80s construction seems too much for the mid-game.

Great list man, thanks for the feedback. Concerning your thought about base 50s (1150) -> 1500, I was of the mindset that the grand majority of players who were going for base 50s wouldn't have their account be exactly level 50 everything. They probably fell in love with a few skills here and there, or did a bunch of combat, and had a few level 80s around, possibly bringing them above 1500 before base 50 in the first place! I'd be super curious to know what most people hit first because a lot of people leave runecrafting and hunter alone for so long. Thanks for your rendition of the list, I think 70 combats is a great inclusion

@@WeSkillNow Oh I have no doubt most people are likely hitting 1500 total before nearing base 50s. I'd wager it probably isn't uncommon for people to already have a 99 before that stage as well. I guess my issue then is just with base 50 stats in general. Whilst it's a good thing to level up all your skills (it's what's required for maxing after all), I just don't see the tangible "value" or unlock potential that having lvl 50 in any skill really gets you, especially compared to the other goals on the list. Edit: That said, there is definitely value in experiencing all of the skills in the game, and reaching level 50 at least means you've gotten your toes wet. I do think the mid-game is probably the hardest to define, mostly in regards to limiting how you separate mid-game and end-game. It almost feels like there should be 4 tiers instead of 3, with the 4th tier being "completionist" and probably only being 5 steps.

I'm playing through the mid/endgame for the first time and got firecape as my third goal on this list. First and second were 10m cash stack, then base 70 cb. Still working on the rest. Jad was a bitch and a half to beat. Took me over 10 tries and i dumped my whole 15m cash stack into beating him. That being said doing jad 10 or 20 times seems a lot more reasonable than getting 13M exp in any skill.

I consider myself pretty deep into the game. Yet I have less than 200 Quest Points and I’am missing so many common easy quests; Deal for Example. It becomes very apparent how much content your lacking completion in when you go to do Diaries for great unlocks like the Bone Crusher.

Quests and Diaries are the best markers to get out of mid game. You face hard bosses, have manageably long grinds and great goals and unlocks that improve so much of your playing experience!

My goal now, get kourend elite diary, (90slayer), so I can do my blood runecrafting with 10% blood rune increase. Road to 90 slayer with bossing.

This is absolutely mid-game stuff in terms of where the average player sits. It's definitely misconceiving because of how long the late-game content takes to complete, but the majority of players aren't going to have a quest cape, achievement diaries past medium, a fire cape, etc.

99 before a green money stack? 99 is expensive haha. My sugestion is unlock herb runs as soon as possible. 5 min per 80minutes. Make you big bank

The way to get out of the midgame is to play the game. If you do efficient methods you will eventually get there. Unfortunately, there is no shortcut to the endgame in osrs. The reason people get stuck in the midgame so long is not because they’re approaching it wrong, but because it’s a grind.

I'd get a quest cape before I'd grind for a skill cape. Those will come in time you don't need to grind for it..

Almost lvl 100 here. No fire cape and I’m very close to barrows gloves. But I’ve started zulrah after purchasing some expensive gear. It was really hard at first but it becomes fairly easy after a while and really good money! Thankfully my friend lent me ring of suffering and imbued heart

It takes one lucky break at a good bit of content that changes it all, at 35kc 200 average TOA got a 55m split 2 ways on chaps, got a new prayer, 2 zenytes and a major upgrade in any combat, raids seem to be the way

My problem is that I just got the quest cape, currently leveling slayer. But what now? Got all hard diaries, quest cape and couple 99's. But for me (and I am very bad at pvm) the skills costs a lot to level up (non iron man). Any suggestions to hone pvm skills except for doing the worst thing ever in CG?

Personally, I wouldn't push for a skill cape like fm (wt) or fletching/cooking if you can get a fire cape. Although high cooking (95) gets you summer pies which I would argue is a big unlock.

@@abyssion8 It took me 9 attempts to complete. 90+ combat stats, dds as a spec weapon. Apparently you can complete it as a group so you don't actually have to solo it.

Fantastic guide! I would also say, get a money maker that nets at least 900k/hr. The reason for 900k, and adjust for inflation, is because with that much, you need only spend 7 hours a week to maintain your bond. That's only 1 hour a day for half your bond's life that you need to farm gold. At mid game, maintaining your bond meeds to become an after thought, and any more time spent money making should be for the purpose of buying upgrades.
