Very happy we resigned him! He has the potential to be a 1st team defensive player consistently. With Kobe and Nash taking all the attention he'll be deadly behind the 3pt line (shot 41% on spot up 3s last year)

If Wes becomes a more consistent 3 pt shooter (about 37/38% instead of 33/34%) and gains about 5-10 lbs of muscle(around 220-225), he would be a perfect swing man along side of Kobe because he is a good defender, long and he is one of the best athletes in the game.

Love Johnson and what he brings to the table. Only problem is, he just doesn't bring it consistently! Lakers should only keep him around if they can't sign either Kawhi Leonard, Draymond Green, or Jimmy Butler away from their respective teams this upcoming offseason. Then again, if they hold onto Jeremy Lin (kind of a top priority for them, tbh) they should bring in his old Knick running mate Landry Fields and put him at the 3 in Johnson's place. I'm surprised the Raptors haven't done much with him since giving him that nice contract after the Linsanity craze that swept the league back in 2012...

By that, I meant on offense, he's always a great defender, he has all defensive team potential, great at intercepting passes and one of the best shot blocking small forwards. He just needs to be more consistent on offense

Plays kind of like Scotty pippen- Andre Iguodala. But inconsistent he averages 9 points a game which is solid although he can't maintain. One game hell get 20 the other hell go for 2. If he can be more consistent he can be a really good player. He's athletic and he can shoot the 3.

Everyone's talking about his inconsistency but you forget doc rivers is a great coach I'm not saying the greatest but history shows he knows what he's doing look what he did with Deandre Jordan he's not the greatest center but he was a damn good defender and that's what the clippers needed out of him and that's what doc got out of him and he could do the same with johnson given they play different positions the point is doc will find a productive role for him and that's what matters
