Appreciate the time and effort of this video Dave got the akimbo couple weeks ago and we’re doing everything that you did some of the guys were quite confused now I have a video to reference to them why we did what we did to make sure our devices safe to climb on with the ropes that we have. If not they’ll have to buy a new robe because I’m the only one with the recommended rope.

Nice video Dave! One thing I would try is instead of tightening the bottom, try loosening the top to increase overall friction. This allows the top arm to open wider and puts a harder bend on the rope at the bottom.

I love the fact that this device is dialed in for Notch Sasquatch for a 6,2 200lb climber. 16 strand fat rope on spars. I will say that I put more time into it. I keep my rope clean and the device clean. I adjust my climbing technique to keep my rope out of sap. Yah it's not for raw dirty climbing. It's a Ferrari.

Nu Green Store did a pull test on the Akimbo with blue moon here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKq0gKCcZq6Fm7s The bar chart at 2:28 sums it up nicely and gives insight into why many people have trouble adjusting the Akimbo. As you can see, the results are not what most climbers would imagine. Try printing a screen capture of this and the individual charts to better predict how the Akimbo will behave to adjustments. Of course, this is for the blue moon in this test only, but it should put to rest any preconceived assumptions. Its a short video compressing a lot of data -- well worth 4 minutes of your time. It might save someone from putting their Akimbo on Craig's list.

Nice & adjustable. Just not sure about that. Just bought some Velocity Hot 120' dangit, I knew I should have ordered at least 150'+. I've been liking just my Grigri2 belay device with a hand Ascender and a rachet strap for a foot hold

Mr. Nice guy Dave🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘 You knocked it out of the park yourself sir! Quote on quote when you said the where points are the where points in when you wear them out that it it's all over you have to buy a new one quote on quote👊👊👊👊 The Z Runner has all interchangeable parts and a complete package to fit any rope from 7 mm all the way to 13 mm. I have four pending patents on the Z Runner collection. Unfortunately at this point in time at the 9 month testing and rigorous thought processes that have gone into this device I have refused all the offers from the big companies💯💯💯💯💯💯 But I will be entertaining the fact that Monday we will finally have the factory made product let's keep our fingers crossed that the measurements and the CAD program in the floor they are being cut on at the corporation have all worked like a well-oiled machine for one of the best multi Sanders that has ever hit the world for tree climbers and everyone at work related height scenarios. God bless you and thank you for the years of dedication Dave that you have put in on doing reviews and being honest I can't wait do you have you review this product.

is it fair to say the zigzag would be more user friendly for multiple ropes and weather situations, and probably mostly doing DRT?
@mfahim1995
@mfahim1995 3 жыл бұрын
Without a doubt. Zig zag, I'd say, is the easiest device for people to start their transition into mechanicals from rope on rope

@@mfahim1995 - Easier than a Unicender?
@mfahim1995
@mfahim1995 2 жыл бұрын
@@samuelluria4744 Absolutely. The unicender is an amazing tool but requires a lot more attention. The wrapping decent function is nothing like pulling down on a prusik and as far as having control for limb walks and pruning I’d say the unicender is useless. IMO the unicender shines during removals with nasty weather or sappy tree conditions.

@@mfahim1995 - I was just keying in on the particular aspect that you had mentioned; that of a user completely new to mechanical devices. I was not getting too in-depth as far as ultimate pros and cons, but simply what device would be the most "basic and straightforward" for a person to acclimate with. I could be wrong along those lines es as well, buy, that's what I was getting at...

Busy Runner which happens to be my product which looks similar to a lot of other products but that doesn't mean a rat's ass to me because I have been granted for for yes! 4 products that simulate a mechanical device being held on a single line of rope in minor frictionless minor all made out of steel mine are definitely heavier but mine are more secure mine make all the problems in your shoulders go away I have a 750 page thesis that the government Love's the people of New York City love how I have a self-rescue system now for everybody that lives in high story buildings.. When you develop a device like I did with absolute effortless tending or slack relieving situations on a rope my extended arm at the top with my 360 degree adjustable friction at the top of my system is by far one of the best in the world unfortunately the ignorance of society won't let that be told.. #Zrunner #Zrunnerselfrescuesystem #ZrunnerPWS
