I truly enjoyed this series, the landscapes that you videoed are breathtakingly beautiful, and the solitude was 'heavenly'; I don't recall seeing a single other vehicle on the road anywhere, it almost seemed like you two were the only people on earth and that it's self would have been worth the 'price of admission' to me!!! Thank you both for sharing this lovely adventure!!!

Damn I really look forward to your videos. You and your wife make some of the best videos out there and I for one am grateful, especially during these cold, and depressing winter months here in the states. Thank you both so much. Can’t wait for warm weather. God bless you both. Thank you so much.

I started as a subscriber and patreon of your hunting channel. Loving SA scenery, and combined with your excellent filming, editing and narrating skills makes these videos really enjoyable. There is an interesting theme to these videos, especially the way you have the hilux kitted out. Great stuff.

Hats off for an awesome video. You were very well prepared and your editing is fantastic. I plan to do a similar trip soon in an old RAV4 soon. Still needs some stuff like fridge, roof rack beds and basics. Love how you combined drone footage, some maps and even the stuck on the beach, story. Like we say, "n boer maak n plan".

Great video Matt. Including that nice moment of contemplating :) I happened to be near Calitzdorp a couple of weeks ago. Must have been about the same period you were there, according to the progression of the road constructions around Montague. I can't believe the temperatures dropped below zero at night, respect to both of you!

Matt…there is some crazy stuff going on even here in the USA. Just stay safe and use your head. Situational awareness is key. It worked in the military and works in every day life brother. Head on a swivel.

Great trip and beautiful country. I see your home is close to where I lived in the mid 70's. The pity is that the "politics" that you mentioned made me and my family leave SA. Burying 3 friends in one year due to violence was the last straw...
