ur video was very helpfull! thank you sm , ive been looking for one that showcased the silver burst, as if replacing the nut would that fix most of the intonation problems?

No this guitar needs all new hardware including bushings , saddle, bridge , nut, tuners and pickups. That equals out to 300-500 dollars to make this guitar a proficient instrument. If this guitar was worth 200.00 cad, then these drawbacks would reflect the price. It’s not a $400.00 instrument by any means. I recommend a squire or Epiphone in that price range over a west creek crap guitar by any means.

@@Pedalheadshow While I agree to get a Squier/Epiphone if it's your first guitar, you can't get a V for that price. I just ordered one as a guitar to help me learn luthier skills and try a V. I don't want to spend $700+ on a V/Explorer shape. Chinese budget brands are the best option. Also I think you could get away with ~$200 of parts to make it intonatable, no?

New strings on mine and it plays killer, however the beveled edge looks like crooked crap on 90% of these. You look like you got lucky with yours in that aspect.

Glad you’re happy with yours! Keep Rockin!

So soak the pick up's in wax...woo hoo. Sand the bottom of the bridge & tail piece. & you would only have to flip the D saddle. Y not use a multi-meter & show what the pick ups are @?

You raise some good points. At the end of day, I wasn’t impressed by the cheapness of the guitar in all honesty I didn’t want to put the extra effort after spending 375 for a guitar. It felt light, cheap, I didn’t like how it resonated. Felt like and empty guitar that I would probably just end up not playing compared to other guitars I know I love to play. I wasn’t impressed people should be able to choose what they want and how they want to spend their money. Personally I’m always moving on the better things.
