The West Highland Pullman test run head south through Carlisle,
Tangmere on The Waverley from York
Network Rail Flying Banana Test Train makes a call!
Locos heading south from DRS Open Day
Pride Pendolino to finish off the day
07 July 24
After a successful run to Mallaig, the West Highland Pullman (with a Mk3 coach standing in for a kitchen car) stops at Carlisle for a crew change. This is going to be a short train with only 4 carriages in comparison to the 8 or 9 cars of the Midland Pullman train.
Tangmere brought The Waverley from York into Carlisle, running over the Settle Carlisle line in each direction.
The Network Rail yellow HST test train calls at Carlisle and reverses.
We see some of the locos seen at the DRS Open Day heading away through the station away from Kingmoor depot.
Plus the Pride pendolino 390119 to finish off the day on Carlisle station.
