WEST HIGHLAND PULLMAN passes Tangmere at Carlisle. Network Rail Flying Banana calls! 07 July 24

After a successful run to Mallaig, the West Highland Pullman (with a Mk3 coach standing in for a kitchen car) stops at Carlisle for a crew change. This is going to be a short train with only 4 carriages in comparison to the 8 or 9 cars of the Midland Pullman train.
Tangmere brought The Waverley from York into Carlisle, running over the Settle Carlisle line in each direction.
The Network Rail yellow HST test train calls at Carlisle and reverses.
We see some of the locos seen at the DRS Open Day heading away through the station away from Kingmoor depot.
Plus the Pride pendolino 390119 to finish off the day on Carlisle station.
The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.

That near head-on sequence (2:40 - 2:55) makes TANGMERE look like Ko-Ko, the Lord High Executoner (of 'The Mikado') - 'It's got a little list, it's got a little list'.

I note that NR still hasn't replaced the missing part of the message on coach 3 (8:27) of the New Measurement Train. It only makes sense when the repeat comes past at 8:36.

In fact the banana is also a regular visitor - but not 2 or 3 times a week like Tangmere

Can't believe I'm saying this, but as I prefer my Bullied's rebuilt, I think the Midland Pullman steals the show, with that model of your MR livered 2-6-0 (Crab?) on the shelf over your right shoulder in 2nd place. Sorry to all those (and Bullied himself) that think otherwise 🫢. I'm also a fan of the NMT, now that the power car livery matches the coaches. Les: the other day, I saw a video of a steam loco being turned on a turntable just outside Scarborough station. Have you ever seen this yourself? Despite the best efforts of the skillful drivers, it seems impossible to avoid wheel slippage when Bullied locos depart the Citidel.

@@stephendavies6949 I'm split between both versions, the unrebuilt for their taking steam a step forward and the rebuild as I think they were the best BR produced. The crab is in early LMS livery
