West Launch - Levante - Graham Lee - Niviuk Hook 6

I am thinking of buying niviuk hook 6, my body weight is 100-102kg, the seller's recommendation is 110-130kg wing, I am thinking of choosing 95-120kg, the total weight of the harness and spare parachute is 7kg, it will be 107kg with my body, I think clothing and other equipment is 5kg , total weight will be 112-113kg. What is your suggestion? (I'm just getting started)

If you are 113kg all up which includes water, cameras, phones, there is also the carry bag. 113 all up (TOTAL WEIGHT IN FLIGHT MIN-MAX) this also includes the glider weight.5,1 kg will be the size 28 which is all up weight of 95-120 if you have not included weight of the glider it will be around 118kg which puts you in a better position on the 28 which is closer to the top of the range. Better loaded not overloaded

@@Graham_lee Do you find Algodonales to be, a dangerous place to fly? I ask this, because a friend of mine suffered from collapses, when flying above the right side, after taking off from Levante launch. He says, there are some risky points and areas to avoid.

For people who have hill experience it can provide a perfect training ground for us, but for those just setting out without any hill training I would avoid it or join one of the schools and listen to what they have to say. If you look at the terrain in the video you have so much air mass coming at you. When the wind goes west this corner can become very dangerous The air spills around the spine. My first time here without instruction I got myself into trouble, further right and into what they call the spoon. Yes its dangerous but training mitigates a lot of issues. I ended up joining the gaggle over head as quick as I could to get away from this place. More dangers over the back to avoid where serious rota can be spilling over the ridge. @@petrusaroesnosa7461

Terrain flying is dangerous, especially the rotor. Use the landing field a few times, fly out away from all the rocks and get a feel for the air current coming over the far mountains, get as high as you can before transitioning. Avoid flying low or only do it in stable conditions. Follow the gaggle. Don't fly in the leigh this is where most of the collapse happen due to rotor. Height is your friend.
