@@governoret Lee graduated 2nd in his class, right behind Albert Sydney Johnston. To this day he is the only cadet in the history of West Point to graduate without one single demerit on his record! He was also Superintendent of the academy when JEB Stuart was a cadet. He was offered command of the Union Army in the spring of 1861, he turned it down, but when Virginia seceded he resigned his commission. I consider Lee a man if honor and conscience who merely fought against an intrusive federal government. I would do the same. Now those men who opposed a government which pushed itself to the forefront of violating the Cobstitution. Now the shiny snowflakes say such men are traitors. They just did what their ancestors did. As all should do today against the shitty government we now have. Remember. Our shitty government is NOT the Republic. The oeople ate and it's time they stood up to the people who want to rewrite history, and control our lives. Well, they all can kiss my Rebel posterior!

@@Snuffy03 all I hear is a lot of flaky bullshit. Levying war against the United States, which is what he did (by following a seceding gov't, which people DID recognize as wrong and unconstitutional then - you parrot the fiction that this was an unsettled question) and defending an institution of slavery and the debasement of fellow men is neither honorable nor conscionable. Shame on you and your fellow traitor-roaders for defending an indefensible man.

@@GeistView oh sliver me timbers sergeant first class, I didn't mean to address you by the wrong rank. I apologize for my insubordination from the godforsaken KZbin comment section. Makes even more sense now SFC, the grump gunny e7.. My point still stands that you mentor your junior officers, not be pricks for no reason just because they have a college degree and haven't been to combat. As a senior yourself, you haven't seen lot of field time as well either, and do more briefing and powepoints than getting at it and firing your rifle. You became the thing you hate desk jockey :). But like senior NCOS and officers working on operational tasks, they're things way more important to the success of the unit than getting at it. But don't take it from me, talk to your CO or your 1SG, or from headquarters from you BN or CSM, they are going to say the same thing. It's a hard change for grunts who stay in after their first enlistment at 18 whose only mindset was running and gunning. No wonder too, you moved up the ranks in a unit/mos you were your entire career, now the big honcho of the whole company, looks as if the world's your oyster. We are both men here so I'm going be direct, once you go up the ranks either here or in the civilian sphere, it's going be a very small world. When you get a reputation by your peers of being an arrogant prick, especially berating new officers and soldiers who you were placed to mentor on their first day, you make it even smaller. Keep it up, and even if you do make it e-8 or e-9, you will never run this command. You'll die in that corner of XO's in detached units doing staff positions with the other salty enlisted who the Army waits until they EAS out where they forever live in the shadow of their uniform hanging off their closet as they work as a part time manager in some clothing department. Don't let it be you, that's all I'm saying.
