Poetry to me is not just words that needs to be understood, It is the truest and most important use of language that most often does not become irrelevant after written, like many writings and ideas of people do. It's not even an idea that the poet thinks is smart or witty, it is the purest form of emotion and most often it is truer than any idea. Fiction reigns supreme but just for the right "Dasein".

You’re an incredible teacher who’ve made these difficult subjects interesting and fun. I’ve only just been introduced to your channel by KZbin and I’m addicted ! I really enjoy learning about the evolution of human thought, and philosophy is a great instrument for that. I really enjoy your method of delivery which is casual and easier to follow and love it when you add poetry of Iqbal and Gharib :) This video on Heidegger is fascinating to learn he was the last of the great European philosophers and your explanation of why he was the last on the subject of metaphysics makes perfect sense. I’m excited to learn and will read more on his investigation into ‘being’ that you so eloquently explained. Thank you :)

Thank U, Ali Bhai, once again. I watched this video twice. Heidegger's view of poetry as a unique means of "unconcealing" truth is undeniably powerful, emphasizing the existential and revealing power of art. It drew my mind instantly to Josh Sahib. I hope and wish and humbly request if you could do a through video of Josh Sahib. His works has so much relevance to your larger endeavor. For instance: Josh Malihabadi’s poetic approach does resonate with Martin Heidegger’s philosophy, particularly in the way both thinkers view the role of art, nature, and perception in uncovering truths. Heidegger argued that poetry could "unconceal" or reveal layers of being that logic and scientific reasoning might overlook. Through poetry, he believed, humans could reconnect with the world in a more profound, intuitive way that goes beyond rationality alone. Josh’s verse, "Hum aise ahl-e-nazar ko saboot-e-haq ke liye, agar rasool na hote to subah kaafi thi," aligns with Heidegger’s notion of "unconcealment" through poetic insight. In this line, Josh suggests that for someone with a discerning eye, nature (symbolized by the dawn) itself serves as a testament to truth. This echoes Heidegger’s idea that poetry doesn’t simply describe reality; it brings aspects of existence into the light, allowing us to perceive truths that are often obscured in everyday, rational thought. Additionally, Josh’s rationalism has a unique mystical quality-he trusts human perception to reveal divine or existential truths, even without intermediaries like prophets. This self-reliant and direct approach to truth can be seen as mirroring Heidegger’s focus on "Being" and his emphasis on understanding existence without relying solely on external validation. Heidegger saw language, especially poetic language, as a primary way to connect with being authentically, and Josh’s reliance on the natural world as a source of revelation for ahl-e-nazar (the insightful) closely reflects this idea.

As God is beyond all matter outside and above all the heavens. In the same way God is in the deepest realm which is deeper than thought, emotion, mind, ego and soul. As within so without. As Derrida said we can know reality or secrets of the outer world through poetry. Why did he say it? Is the world outside a reflection of the forms, id, images, thoughts, unconscious realm and ego inside? To know why something appears so and behaves as it does, we need to be conscious of the inner world and its images. Is the outer world a reflection of common images of all the beings.? Does poetry help explore the inner unconscious, soul and images that are reflected outward as the world and its contents. Why do so many great philosophers point towards Poets and poetry to know better reality and truths? Is poetry simply the state of bringing unconscious contents into conscious awareness? Just as changing beliefs changes behavior and changing behavior changes beliefs. In the same way, does changing or improving inner reality change external reality? Does improving external reality change internal reality? Is pain and fear due to nonalignment of external reality and internal reality? Or is it the process of changes in either external or internal reality causes a stir, a pain , a fear in the corresponding part of other reality. And it resolves with time by acceptance and acknowledgment of these changes. When external reality changes, I suffer internally until I accept this change internally. Now suppose if I change some part of my internal reality, the outer reality panics, suffers, protests and resists until it slowly accepts and acknowledges this change. This process essentially aligns internal and external realities in the long run, until a new change occurs in either internal or external reality. Written by me Mushahid Hussain.
