Penn St did a great job of getting Aller on the move and not making him sit back and scan the field the whole game. If you notice almost every big play he had came when the field was cut in half and he had a 1-2 reads or take off. That's a nice way to let your young QB gain confidence for the season.

As a Penn State fan, I give WVU a ton of credit. They played hard and tough and dirty (nothing wrong with that, at all!) If they're coached properly they'll be an issue for Big 12 opponents. Glad to have a game against them in over 2 decades again.

As a Penn State football fan I don't really expect Penn State to do that much this year. They will once again probably the 3rd-best team behind Michigan and Ohio State and won't be in the college football playoffs yet again and go to some meaningless bowl game. Until the college football playoff get expanded Penn State won't be one of the top four teams in the country.

Pros: Allar looks like he’s the real deal, the backfield is elite, there are some DAWGS on defense. Cons: Special teams are not just average but poor, Oline didn’t look elite today, lacking a bit of depth at WR. Hopeful for 11-1, but we need to be better in all 3 phases or else we’re 10-2/9-3

Offensive line didn't look as bad as you are saying!!! First game of the year and W. Virginia was stacking the line first of all!!! WE averaged 5 yards a carry and by them stacking the line, young Drew Allar showed out, and threw for over 300 yards, 72 percent completion percent and 3 touchdowns and no turnovers!!!! WE ARE 🏈

The pass blocking wasn't very good, but it wasn't great against Purdue last year. Trying to open up Week 1 against a decent power 5 team is a tough challenge for any o line, except for Michigan

Well, no. Penn State had third-stringers in and their second string quarterback. They ran the ball, they did not pass it. And number three, if there's a real logjam at the top at the end of the season, it goes by points and point differential. In this day and age you have no choice.
