Western Cape's plan to curb rampant crime

The latest crime statistics paint a disturbing picture of the rising murder rate in the Western Cape. According to the figures murders climbed by almost 9% in the fourth quarter of 2023. Over 1000 people were killed between October and December last year. Six of the top ten precincts that recorded the most murders are in the province. These included Mfuleni, Gugulethu, Nyanga and Delft.
