In our video, we'll talk about the origins of Western Christianity and what Early Christians in Rome thought about the religion.
Excerpt:
In central Italy, one will find the city of Rome about twenty miles inland from the Tyrrhenian Sea, along the Tiber River. Rome itself has a deep and rich history and played an indispensable role in the formation of Western Christianity. In about 2000 BC, the first settlers of what would become Rome migrated southward across the Alps into northern Italy and then further south in the region of Rome. The Villanovans and then the Etruscans settled the area in 1000 and 800 BC respectively, lending their religious, political, and artistic influences to central Italy. Roman poets and historians trace the city’s official history to 753 BC, when Romulus and Remus were said to have founded it. From that time forward, there were various forms of government including a republic, oligarchy, monarchy, and eventually an empire as Roman armies conquered much of the Mediterranean world. The Western Roman Empire lasted until AD 476 and the Eastern Roman (or Byzantine) Empire lasted another millennium until 1453.

It must be hard to produce these historical videos whilst not being Catholic 😂 Leaving out so many important facts that clearly show the Catholic Church is Christs one true church.

How convenient to leave out Pope Linus, the successor to St. Peter and second bishop of Rome.

You can tell this was not made by a Catholic as they refer to Pope Clement as merely "the 4th Bishop of Rome".

Hegesippius and Irenaeus in the second century list a singular bishop in Rome from Peter. The Catholic Church has never called itself “Roman Catholic”

Hegesippus wrote a list of Supreme Bishops or Popes from his time to Saint Peter, but this list w/ explicit names was lost unfortunately

Not a very informative video. I noticed how you spent a lot of time on the pre-69AD Church of Rome when you talked about what early Christians thought of it when almost everyone focuses on what early Christians thought of Rome after the death of Peter.

It seems based on a lot of videos throughout the series that the ecclesiology of those who put this video together would be close to branch theory, or something similar to how many Protestants after the 1800s and especially in the 1900s due to the need for missionaries to work together or for the video creator / KZbin account that put this together am I mistaken in your views on ecclesiology and you are a member of a church that has a more traditional ecclesiology like what St. Cyprian would speak of.

Your Historical analysis of the early Church is pitiful. Read the Patristics, and perhaps you will become illuminated.
