(A common greeting in Chinese) He's worry about you that you don't have an accommodation because some lodges in China couldn't register foreigners, so he was intend to help you with accommodation at his Hotel. I understand why is that concerns you a little bit due to the language barrier. Sorry, but I don't think what you said is completely right. Purple clay does have a long history, but in China, it's not really that expensive. Similar to ceramics, most items are actually quite affordable. I'd say the teacup in the video is probably around 60 yuan or so.
