Yes it is! Good eye. After buying a Nikon FM2 the Nikkormat became my black and white camera

Out of curiosity, what recorder were you using?

I was using a Panasonic Boom Box equipped with microphones. However, also used a pair of Sony external mics to override the internal mics. The externals allowed me to get better separation and install foam rubber wind breakers.

@@UncleKenable Interesting! I recently bought a Sony WM-D6 Professional Walkman and would like to make some field recordings (trains included of course) with it.
