This is a very rare 15-minute off-the-air recording from back in 1963, when western Gospel singer Patsy Prescott made a studio visit with her long-time friend, country singer Daisy Mae on Daisy's radio show in Tampa. At that time, Patsy Prescott was traveling around the U.S., singing Gospel music at various churches and telling her life story.
It is my understanding that back in the 1930s and 40s, Patsy Prescott was a well-known country & western star with her own radio program in Phoenix, AZ. (In fact, comedian Steve Allen may have been her announcer at one point!)
On this show, the song "Christians Had A Man In Space" was written and performed by Patsy Prescott. The other two songs are performed as a duo, with Daisy Mae as the lead singer and Patsy Prescott singing harmony. Patsy also provides the recitation "Are All The Children In".
Daisy knew Patsy from the St. Louis area, back early in their careers. In the St. Louis area, Daisy was associated with the Shady Valley Folks.
