@@westernsontheweb When Brushy Bill Roberts saw the Governor of New Mexico he failed to answer the questions, because he was having a stroke how convenient 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Strokes are killers at any age and he was supposed to be 90? He would of been hospitalized for months and not walking to the post office weeks later dying of a heart attack!

@@nobodyspecial6513 Are you 90? Did you go to the hospital and also do rehab? Did it affect your motor skills like speech and movement?

@@attilathehun0 not 90. Went to the ER with the first one to see if it would kill me. They said no but wanted to keep me. I said I have no insurance and went home. Didn't bother going with the next 2. They were mild but who knows how bad Bill's stroke was. He died shortly thereafter so I'm guessing he had some health problems. Doesn't mean he wasn't able to walk between the time of his stroke to the the heart attack that killed him

I read your book and it was excellent!!! Best ever!!!! I could tell that it's been Garrett's family and family members of the Murphy-Dolen faction that has prevented the pardon of Billy. Billy died a free man in 1950. You have proven that 💯. I think some historians are in the N.M. hip pockets too.

Alex Baker The historical facts Billy the Kid was in New Mexico. In the 1980's they changed Brushy's tombstone and opened the Billy the Kid Meseum in Hico, Texas for tourism dollars. Listen to Sue Land she keeps making tourism pitches.

This guy was on point calling him the kid until he mentioned they started calling him Billy the kid... no they didn't the Billy the kid name was a misprint in a newspaper article and it seem to stick he never went by Billy the kid personally.

What about census records that totally go the other way? Brushy wasn’t born in New York, Billy was. Brushy Texas. Brushy’s own family said he was absolutely not Billy the Kid. And why would Billy live such a public life knowing he was wanted for murder?

Hines won his case, and was granted his brother's land in North Dakota, although it was never shown that Hines had been the actual Outlaw Jesse Evans. Joe Hines convinced Morrisson who know who else that he was the outlaw Jesse Evans.
@attilathehun03 жыл бұрын
The real Jesse Evans knew Billy the Kid, but being 6 years older he was not a childhood friend of Billy. When Billy was 12 Jesse Evans was in Elk City, Kansas and was arrested with his parents for passing out counterfeit money.

On July 28, an obituary titled “Exit the Kid” appeared in the Grant County Herald, a Silver City newspaper. Editor S.M. Ashenfelter wrote, “Since his escape from the Lincoln County jail, [the Kid] has allowed his beard to grow and stained his skin brown to look like a Mexican.” Fort Sumner was a remote location with a small population. It's almost 350 miles away from Silver City. It ain't like Pat Garrett made a phone call to Ashenfelter to come see the BTK corpse and he got in his corvette racing through over 150 mph to get there before BTK gets buried.

Billy the Kid an Autobiography? More like another Brushy Bill Roberts book of Tall Tales. 2009: Straight shooter; Old West historian separates myth, fact El Paso Times 09/12/2009 By Michael Johnson Alamogordo Daily News ALAMOGORDO -- Ask Drew Gomber about the question he's asked the most after his Western history presentations and he shudders, almost irritated by the question. "Did Billy the Kid really get killed and was he Brushy Bill Roberts?" Gomber said. "The answer is yes, he really got killed. Anyone who even looks at the record from a distance should know that." Gomber, a Western historian who has worked on and appeared in a variety of shows on Discovery Channel, A&E, Biography and the now-defunct "Wild West Tech" TV series on the History Channel Gomber continued to expound on Roberts, who claimed to be Billy the Kid. Roberts "is a pathetic, sad old man trying to make himself famous," Gomber said. "Before he claimed to be Billy the Kid, he claimed to be a member of the James Gang. He supposedly was also in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. None of it is true. He didn't do any of that. In fact, we found (Roberts') family Bible and he was born in 1879. That means he was 2 years old when 'The Kid' was killed," Gomber added. "It's ridiculous. He wasn't the only pretender, though. There was once a guy who claimed to be Jesse James. It just goes on and on. People don't like their heroes to die." Conspiracy theories, according to Gomber, have no place in history. "The moment you hear the word 'conspiracy,' 99 times out of 100 you will want to ignore anything that comes after it," he said.

Drew Gomber is just giving his opinion which he is entitled to. However,the state of New Mexico says he wasn't killed that night or any other night. If Pat Garrett killed him, something official would have been filed somewhere in New Mexico. Nothing was filed. No official document equals no death.If people want to believe he died that night,so be it. New Mexico says otherwise.

Brushy's stroke excuse for not answering questions is a joke. Brushy did not die 3 days later more like 4 weeks later of a real heart attack. If he was 90 and he had even a minor stroke he would be in bed for weeks.
