My mother passed 5 years ago, I was born on her birthday one of six children. She was and is always my light. I texted her every day sharing pics and humor. She always found beauty. “The snow falling did you hear me softly calling” brought me to tears. Every morning when I walk outside something brings a smile to my face, a smile I share with my mother.❤. This songs make me realize that it wasn’t just that she was there for me, but that I was there for her, one of her favorite birthday presents. Many thanks to you Kassi. Peace.

Definitely reminiscent of Townes. And that’s high praise.

@@TheWdayton Intended as such! Sometimes artists pick things up and don't even realize where it came from. Miranda Lambert had no clue she was taking much from Steve Earl when she wrote Kerosene. I had a friend who cut a CD and he had no clue he was influenced by Doc Watson.

This really reminds me of my mom. Who out of three sons. Only one was by blood. My mother has always been the corner stone of our family and has always been the one that brings us together. These days I've been closer but only see her once a week. It reminds me that she deserves any visit I can give her. This song hit home for me randomly when I was shaving! You will go far!
