I've already got a deposit on my new Z330R that should be arriving at my dealer around Thanksgiving. I was on the fence between John Deere and Toro but Toro is doing nothing new on the Timecutter whereas John Deere will now have a stronger frame (2.5" x 2" front, 1.5" x 2" sides), wider tires, Kawasaki engine, 1' axle EZT-DD hydro, dial control for deck height, LED lights (front & side), eliminated the parking brake lever (uses lap bar position like Toro to set brake) improved throttle control, hour meter, foot pedal deck lift, 20" cut & sewn seat w/ logo, accents & armrests, 250lb. tow hitch (without needing bumper kit), new floor pan design for access below, and optional available mulch control kit and a Power Flow Material Collection bagger for the 48A &54A 10ga. 3 blade deck, which is now painted green instead of yellow! Hope you get to show these to us before mine shows up at the dealer!

We nave a suburban home and my son bought the Z345R. Nice mower with a 42in cut. I purchased the trailer hitch kit and the 10P trailer for the mower. Did not think the trailer would get much use but it has been handy to have around this spring. Your JD mower videos are the best.

The way I understand it from my John Deere dealer is you can only get a bagger system on the 42" deck not on the 48 or 54. In my area of the country a lot of people bag but it doesn't seem That common in other areas.

One servicing note that bewilders me about my new X345R... The oil filter, in relation to the mower deck placement, is an engineering blunder. The little dinky (half-size) oil filter sits back a foot from the deck lip, which will certainly be a pain, and make a mess when it comes off. A larger gap between the filter and frame would have given us a better space to hand form a trough for any oil to follow.
@WesternEquipment2 жыл бұрын
I will have to admit that I agree with this. Hopefully this has been made known multiple times to the engineers and hopefully we see a fix in the future. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!

Do you have a recommendation about the mulching kit for these. I’m looking at getting a 355 or 365R. Seems people are having issues with the plastic kit. Is there a metal kit available like for older models??

@lforgue82 жыл бұрын
@@WesternEquipment could I bother you for a JD part number?!
@ciphercode22983 жыл бұрын
Question; the mulch control that's on the z365r. When you open the chute it looks like the two innermost blades are still isolated and mulching all the time and that only the outer blade is able to dispense grass? I ask this because sometimes I mow higher grass that has a hard time drying out from last nights dew or shower,but I also would like the convenience of closing the chute around cars,neighbors property, and occasionally flowerbeds and such. Would the mulch control suit my needs or would it just get block up trying to constantly mulch?
@WesternEquipment3 жыл бұрын
From what I have seen it is only the outer blade that is completely closed off, so you have two blades that are able to completely discharge clippings when the chute is open. This system has seemed to work very will for people looking to do what you are wanting to do. I would say that if you are working in damp condition to make sure and check that outer side of your deck after mowing to make sure and get the wet clippings out. Other than that I think this would be fine for what you are wanting to do. Thanks for watching!

Hello. I’m going to buy Z335E. How good is it? Is it worth it or better to buy Torro or Ariens? I have 1/4 acre yard with some obstacles but don’t want to use self propelled mover
@WesternEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Great question and you will get a lot of different answers from different people, but one thing I’d weigh heavy in my decision is the resale value of your future machine. Deere holds its value better than any brand on the market. Even if you want to keep the machine for 15 years, it’s a good feeling to know the machine will have great value even after that many years of use.
@volodymyrtkach3 жыл бұрын
@@WesternEquipment I’m asking because a lot of people are saying that this John Deere will not last more than 3 years because metal quality is very bad and everyone recommending Ariens.
