Thank you so much Mr.Brent for sharing all the videos of the Ztrac series! I am a fan of John Deere and after I watched your video of Z740r I fell in love with that machine ,a of couple weeks later after continuous watching the same video I was 100% sure that that was the one.My first John Deere was a d100 rider lawn mower that I only used residentially and just sold last week because I decided to step up to a zero turn.I purchased my Ztrak 740r with Everglades Equipment.The only reason that I didn't purchase my Ztrak 740r with Western Equipment is because I live in Florida.Once again ,thank you so much for being so detailed in your videos.keep up with the goods videos!Good luck!

I have one of these Z740R mowers. It mows nearly twice as fast as my former 54 inch D170. I must warn you, though, the Z740R has a seat belt for a reason. You were mowing flat turf. This big zero turn mower will jump hills! (Don't ask how I know) Be careful. slow down and take high and low spots in your lawn carefully because mowers don't have springs or shocks.

I learned one thing with this video, I've been going too slow using the 2001 727 ZTrack and using too much RPM for the blades. It overheated on me in 98 degrees after I got half my acre of front yard cut. I've used several times and never overheated, but the area was also smaller and the weather was partly cloudy.

Now I am really torn. I love the videos. I am on the fence between the Z545r and the z740r. I am going to be mowing about 2 acres. The comfort is on my mind. I believe the transaxle on the 7 series is a lot better. The engine is better. Thanks for the videos.

Love this video series, can't wait until you step up to the big boys! I believe with the zero turns, you'd be much faster going back and forth instead of all the way around. The garden tractors, going in circles is better. I have a 930M 54" that's also 10MPH top speed and I can cut an acre in 17 minutes, the property doesn't have a house but has around 15 trees to go around. That 740R should have mowed that in 20 minutes, especially with a 60". The 740 is probably rated a 4.5 or so acres an hour. We all know that is unachievable, but 3 acres an hour is very doable on decent ground without many obstacles.

Hey will they make a dump from seat bagger system for the z7s? I only see the 2 bushel system the z9s have the dump from seat bagger like the protero design.

Can you make a video cutting the acre with the 1025r with the belly mower? 54” or 60”?

Do you feel the Tweels on the Z740R provide a better quality cut? Also, how to they perform when turning regarding turf damage compared to the stock tires on the Z740R? Thank you!
@WesternEquipment2 жыл бұрын
They definitely improve ride quality by reducing the amount of bumping and jarring that can be cause by the contour of the ground. This in turn also helps with keeping the deck from bouncing as much which does increase the cut quality. I always recommend the Tweels when possible. And from my experience they are less harsh on the turf since they have more surface area making contact with the ground than a normal pneumatic tire. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Very NICE! What would be the difference in the 54 in deck to the 6 in deck in this mower? I have 3 properties that I mow of my own which total about 7 ac total. I like this series of mower than the 900 series because it seems like a little between the road between the yellow deck series and the 900 series. Thanks for the tour. Great job!

I hope you see this comment even though I'm way late. What kind of grass are you mowing? I live in the PA-NJ-DE area and that exact grass is invading lawns. I'm talking about the kind that splits into 3 parts at the top. Is that Bermudagrass?
@WesternEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Yes this is Bermuda. Very common in our area, western Oklahoma.

Do the Z740R’s come standard with Tweels? I was under the impression that you don’t have to worry about air for both rear and front tires on the Z740R. But on Deere’s website I think it says optional.
@WesternEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are an option. It will come standard with pneumatics but can be ordered from the factory with tweels.

You only seem to be forgetting one thing how about price
@WesternEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Prices vary depending on certain discounts at different times of year but the mower should run somewhere in the upper $9K range, maybe low $10K depending on features added. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

I don't mean to put these deere mowers down...but they are underpowered in my opinion and not very user friendly. Course I'm use Exmark Lazer Z X series with a diesel, one with a Kholer and two new Vanguards with the oil protection and Tractus airless tires except on the bagging setup

The idea is to give an idea on how long it would take to mow an acre with same acre and change horsepower and deck sizes for comparison purposes and to give somebody a starting place to know roughly how long it would take to mow an acre so they can decide what class to start shopping for mowers.
