Oh... You missed the Sunday Sangat and Langar. Next time when you are in India please do visit this Gurdwara on Sunday and you would know how magnificent these people are, how they carry out all the Seva with discipline and perfection without any leader telling them when and how to do what.

The essence is the same - our door are open to people from different corners of the world who follow different religions. Basically anyone - be it someone from a different race, religion, country etc is welcome. The logistics What it symbolizes doesn't, what matters is that we follow what it teaches us.

All Sikh Gurus since Guru Nanak have worn turbans. However, covering one's hair with a turban was made an official policy by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Some other reasons Sikhs wear the turban are to take care of the hair, promote equality, and preserve the Sikh identity. Why do we need to cover the head in Gurdwara God being the supreme, our heads need to be covered all the time in order to pay the respect. Thus, the most prominent reason for covering the heads in Gurudwara is respect. ...

Truly awesome video. "Guru" means priest or God and "Dwara" means door to worship God for all people around the world= "Gurdwara". Priority to human being basic necessities and for inner peace or harmony by praying of Guru's Granth Sahib.

Yes gurpreet Singh ji.....well explained.....now a days people are calling Gurdwara as " Sikh Temple" it should be called Gurdwara only......as Muslims call Mosque.....Christian's , church.,.......Hindus .... Temple
