It was actually Tywin's wife Joanna Lannister who discovered them "experimenting" so she moves their bedrooms to opposite sides of Casterly Rock with a hall in-between so even late at night or really early in the morning, they wouldn't be able to sneak into each other's rooms.

There’s two stories of how Lann the clever took Casterly Rock from the Casterlys the first is that he used secret passageways to sneak into their rooms as night to torment the occupants by whispering too them their secrets or conversations he’d overheard whilst sneaking through the rock, eventually the Casterlys were so scared they fled Casterlys rock believing it to be haunted by a demon and Lann the clever took it. The second story is far more vulgar, it says Lann the clever used secret passageways to sneak into the female occupants rooms were he’d seduce them and he then used his bastard children to take over Casterly Rock

All I do mostly while watching these is pause on things to try to tell the scale of blocks..the skins make it hard to figure out but I want to make my builds to this scale. For all I know, a single one block looking merlon might actually be 27 blocks!

most houses of "first men" origin have a god's wood. Old castles like Casterly Rock, Storm's End and Winterfell date from before the andals brought the 7 to westeros

Casterly Rock, so far as we know, has a single heavily fortified land entrance within the city of Lannisport, which itself is walled and heavily fortified. My guess is that individual sections of the fortress are gated, along with the main keep at the peak of the hill.
