One of the very few Vegas icons left that successfully stood the test of time (whether it be by sheer luck or not doesn't matter). Thankfully the expansion of the Las Vegas Convention Center will keep this hotel going for many years to come.

I stayed here many years ago when it was still the Hilton - I remember eating at the Benihana, which I'm glad is still there, and I remember the Star Trek experience was here too...one of these days I oughta upload some of my old Vegas videos...

The Westgate is a great place to stay and provides good value. Not on the Strip but it is on the monorail. My main complaint is that their slot world isn't very big considering how large the hotel is. I guess the sports book takes up lots of casino space! The pool spa are also notably good!

On a side note, the sports book at the Westgate has been considered "the best sportsbook" in LV over the last 3-5 yrs

westgate is a good company. i worked for them in fl. in 1996. the owner david segal lived at the westgate i worked at, would see him all the time at night coming into the resort to go to his condo, a real nice guy. both of his sons worked there also//

Now that's an old hotel..!!..I remember seeing Elvis name on the billboard back in the early 70's..the pool area needs face lift but the casino area and shops look good..

I've done IV infusion on myself. Butterfly IV catheter into an arm vein. Normal Saline. I know the put vitamins and stuff in those, but those prices aren't worth it. However, IV infusion does cure a hangover and/or dehydration VERY quickly. But...in all honestly, chugging a bottle of Pedialyte before sleeping and sipping Gatorade, with a few small sips of beer/alcohol in the morning (believe it or not) works well too.

I stayed there two/three weeks ago. Its a nice hotel but very quiet, it needs a nightclub, or bar with a bit of life to it in my opinion. The sportsbook was great, and the pool was chill but still fun. For the price we paid though I could probably stay mid-strip for the same price.

Westgate's target audience is the convention crowd, not the dayclub/nightclub crowd.

Bought a timeshare with Westgate! This particular property Elvis had the whole of the top floor, some 16,000 sq ft, during his record 8 year run in Vegas!

If you’re an owner at the Westgate it’s really nice. The upgraded villas and studio suites are great. For non owners, it’s just a decent hotel, nothing special. My favorite thing about the Westgate is the location. It’s right next to the convention center. And even though it is not technically a strip resort, the proximity and onsite monorail station makes accessing the strip a breeze.

Next time you guys go to Westgate into slot world, see if the machines have been set up to track play for free beverages. I heard the machines now determine when you are entitled to a comp beverage. I would like to know if there was something externally installed on the machine like a light or a sensor to alert the server. Thanks.
