Thanks for posting. We have reserved a suite in Nov 2024. Usually stay at the luganamar but that wasn't avail and decided to try this. I saw a lot of negative comments so I'm really hoping we are pleasantly surprised here.

They've only converted a small number of the rooms to timeshare units. Most of the rooms are still hotel rooms. We usually stay at the Westin Lagunamar Resort Villas but tried out the Westin Cancun Resort & Spa and were pleasantly surprised. I asked at that old Westin Club and they did have the bar open and they could serve food, but they just cooked it at Arena Sports Bar and would run it down. Still nice to not have to walk if you didn't want to go all the way up to the main area.

I just booked three nights here over Memorial Weekend 2024. I’m a Titanium Elite member and absolutely hate the fact the time share brands don’t recognize status members. I hope this property is still offering free breakfast for Titanium members. I’ll definitely report back after my stay!

@@JacksonJetsettingTitanium Elite members still get free breakfast! And it was delicious! The hotel is definitely showing its age. They only have 44 Villas. They’ll be starting their renovation to convert all rooms to Villas. Couldn’t beat it for $120USD/night.

@@JacksonJetsetting It was a good trip, I would go back and stay at this property. Those taking the bus around, make sure your bus says HOTELS on it if you’re staying in the hotel Zone, otherwise you’ll most likely end up downtown like us 🤣 Still a great time.

How much is the food inside the restaurant? And do you get free umbrellas and chairs at the beach?

I would say American pricing for food- and umbrellas and chairs were free

do they have snorkeling rentals or anything like that? and can you get drinks at the pool and beach? also is this close to the Xcaret adventure place or offer boat cruises etc?

They likely do rent snorkel gear, can’t say for sure. It’s about 45 min from Xcaret. And yes, pool bar is open!

you mentioned they upgraded you for that and the view of your room. how did you get the upgrade? was it after you booked and were checking in to the resort? did you ask for the upgrade? and did you rent a car or take a taxi from airport?

They have a spa so might be in there- didn’t get to feature that in my review
