Beautiful, nostalgic music, but without a title. Please contact me if you have/know the title of this composition. This is one of my favourite WestJet Culture videos. I am proud to have worked (and retired) from such an incredibly unique company like WestJet. The reason I applied for a job with WestJet in Sept 17, 2001 is because of the stories that my relatives told me about their experiences when flying with WestJet. I was inspired, and right away identified WestJet's corporate values were in line with my own (in many ways)...I had fun for 11 years at WestJet and only disliked the difficulties of "scheduling." The people were great, and it was a place where we could really feel satisfied for a day's work well done. The opportunity to help so many people (external & internal guests) when they really needed it. I always thought: "good thing that I came to work today." The guests on the phone (I worked in reservations) were always so thankful and appreciative. This video embodies the essence of WestJet: the spirit, the fierce loyalty of WestJetters, the engaged workforce, and really about a culture of caring! It is a connection of team work, everyone from all bases delivering faithfully what needed to get done. And we never said "that's not my job" -- this is how our founder, Clive Beddoe, led by example. I am honoured and proud to have worked with such a company of fine people. As Clive said it, "a bunch of ordinary people doing extraordinary things..." Thank you all WestJetters. Vincent SPICER, SSA 3291, Proud WestJet Owner, retired May 31, 2012. Cautionary note: this video is dated (2001?), so keep in mind that some of the statistical information is no longer accurate (wrt fleet, growth, etc.)
