Fantastic! We have the lifesize Lysander model built from original Blueprints in England!

His horizon indicator looked a bit suspect.

Tumbled at 45 degrees of bank, primitive gimbals. The turn and slip indicator from that era was much more useful. Many planes had no vacuum pump in those days and the external Venturi tube would only give suction at flying speed so the instruments would need time to spin up. The attitude indicator looked floppy on take off.

@@crabfat1494 Look at how reliable the turn and slip indicator at about 4 o’clock to the attitude indicator is. The bottom needle gives a rate of turn and together with the rate of climb and airspeed needles allows safe instrument flying with a tumbling attitude indicator.

A bit odd seeing a reflector gunsight in a slow heap like a Lysander.

Great video, but how exactly do you slip SOE operators into France with that color scheme?

The below and black striped print scheme is that of the target towing aircraft

@@michaeltalbot8242 I take it, auto correct is messing with you nearly as much as it messes with me. I understand about the stripes, my meaning was, if I were cool enough to own a Lysander, and obviously I am not, I would have it painted up for inserting "troublemakers."

My father flew Lysanders during the war ... wonderful to see what he would've seen as he ws flying. And she lands on a ticky!
