Shane does well with his emotions, the boys are there for him, like brothers do!!! It has special meaning for me also, my husband passed away 1yr ago. It still hurts, we were married for 55yrs. Happy years, blessed to have had him in my life. ❤for you Shane.

This was probably the concert where all of them were at their peak vocally. I don’t think I’ve heard such amazing vocal health and strength from them since. It is such a shame that this album was so underrated. Shane’s and Mark’s vocals throughout this entire concert were just *chef kisses*. The backing harmonies by Kian and Nicky as well. Shane’s vocals have thinned quite drastically ever since the comeback, having not taken a break from the singing. I’m hoping that the lockdown means that the vocals are well rested and that we’ll be able to see this again from the lads.

Shane was ALWAYS the right choice to sing lead, no shade to the other members but you know what I mean. Vocal steadiness, articulation and smooth solid execution and then there Markus the vocal acrobat.

That's how Westlife started out. They insisted on singing live so they had to give the lead parts to the steadiest singers (Shane and Brian). Kian and Nicky weren't as strong, only when Brian left they were finally given the chance to shine. Mark's voice is amazing but kind of a monster, it took a few years to really control it.
