Well, I listened to a lot of pop music when I was a teenager until my late twenties, so it was since late 90's until a few years ago. But I used to look for nice groups or a solo singer singing extremely well, and hated ones without soul, with only commercial purpose. Though pop music is commercial basically. Anyway, since a few years ago I cannot stand any more pop music of these days, it is so noisy and all the same. Am I too old now? But I still love 90's lovely songs, and even of 80's and 70's! I listened to the first album of BeeGees, and loved this old fashioned sound, so calm and sweet. I wasn't born when it was released. So since a couple of years I started to listen to other genres, bosa nova, african style music, classical music etc. Because my ears cannot stand today's pop music, I get to discover new things.
