To me, this moment in singing is a classic representation of what happens when preparation, acoustics, a good arrangement, and spiritual truth come together. David Phelps wrote this arrangement for GVB, and Westminster is one of the very few I have heard to do it sublime justice. It’s breathtaking. I think it’s easily the best arrangement of this hymn.

He needs to get out of the way - the words of the song speak for themselves - he's rehearsed the song we do not need to see but only hear his interpretation - which is to his taste. For my taste I would prefer a less complicated interpretation that sincerely expresses the words; I'm delighted though that so many have found it a blessing.

Chills, goosebumps, almost to the point of shedding a tears... I first heard of this hymn when I heard a simple upbeat guitar arrangement of the hymn from Chris Rice on my Spotify and I was just coming across some other arrangements here on KZbin. I came upon this one and something just told me to stop scrolling and listen to it. Sure enough, it was worth me to stop scrolling!
