So what are your thoughts about Westminster, Maryland, USA after watching this video?

I was raised in Westminster. While it has grown considerably over the last 40 years, it still has that home town feel. This is the kind of town where people know who you are. It does have its share of problems, but it is beautiful any time of the year. The cost of living is a little on the high side because you are 30-45 mins from Baltimore, DC, Gettysburg, and other populated areas. But, it is still a great place to raise a family, and in my opinion, it is heaven.

I was raised in Carroll County..Lived on a farm on 832 between Westminster and Taneytown. . Then on Baltimore Blvd South of Wtown. Moved to Ohio in 1976@@danbantner3802

Love to see the rural areas where the houses are further away from the road with a large manicured lawn. I always feel that their are too many houses built too close to the road, in the U. S. A. and in Trinidad, it's a safety issue for me.😊

For getting around Westminster, you can take a CTS bus. It stands for Carroll Transit System. They are a collection of short buses and minivans that you can use throughout Carroll County. There are also Westminster Taxi and Uber drivers.

Thank you for sharing this. I grew up around there and really enjoyed just seeing it again like this. I can also tell you why so many of the stores were closed. Depending on which entrance you went in, you may have gone through my sister's company's warehouse. She has rented out about a third of the spaces in the mall to use as space for manufacturing gift shop jewelry displays. However the two hippy new age stores are also part of the same company. Weird company, weird mall, but a really wonderful place to grow up. I'm glad you enjoyed the area!

I am 66 yrs old and grew up in nearby Eldersburg. Yes, Westminster is a city; and the county seat of Carroll County MD. The area has grown a huge amount over the years, still a nice place, but housing prices are very high now. Schools are some of the best in the entire state, and crime is low. Remember to visit Hoffman's Ice Cream when you are there!

I grew up here. Seeing it like this is nostalgia like crazy. Let me tell you, ain't no one can drink like us Westminster folks. You'd have to travel to Miami to find people who party harder. Ain't nothing else to do 😂

Westminster has some nice plazas and some rather empty areas, like what pepawg said in the comments. That mall was indeed empty, though there's some good stores there worth checking out.

That mall is 95% vacant. If you had turned left at Main street when entering the town, you would've gone to the drug neighborhood! Most of this video shows the outskirts of Westminster, not the real town.

When I was there it was not 95% vacant.
